A first look at the Nothing Phone (2a)
The Nothing Phone (2a) has not yet been officially unveiled, but the manufacturer is providing a first glimpse of the smartphone on the sidelines of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The LED elements on the back called Glyph are back. There are also two cameras in the centre. This means that the phone may not wobble on the table as much as it would if the cameras were positioned on the side. Otherwise, Nothing is still holding back on details about the phone (2a). These will only be available on 5 March.
Only the Mediatek processor is known so far
With just three LEDs around the cameras, the glyph of the Nothing Phone (2a) is significantly smaller than that of the Phone (2). There are eleven elements there. But Nothing also sees its new device more as a successor to the Phone (1). At least the manufacturer compares the built-in Mediatek Dimensity 7200 Pro with its first smartphone. Compared to this, the Phone (2a) with the 8-core chip is said to offer 18 per cent more performance and be 16 per cent more efficient.

The Dimensity 7200 Pro is equipped with 12 gigabytes of RAM. With a so-called RAM booster technology, this can be virtually expanded to 20 gigabytes.
Nothing has also announced a Smart Clean technology for the phone (2a). According to the manufacturer, this removes file fragments that are no longer required. As a result, the read and write speed would improve not deteriorate. Even after years, the smartphone should be just as fast as on the first day.

You can follow the detailed presentation of the Nothing Phone (2a) on 5 March at 12:30 on the manufacturer's website. The built-in chipset and fewer LED elements suggest that it will be cheaper than the Phone (2).

As a primary school pupil, I used to sit in a friend's living room with many of my classmates to play the Super NES. Now I get my hands on the latest technology and test it for you. In recent years at Curved, Computer Bild and Netzwelt, now at Digitec and Galaxus.
