I was at a family party when my niece showed me a game that she had recently discovered: Rory’s Story Cubes. To be honest, I was sceptical at first. Nine dice with pictures on them - how exciting can that be? But when we started playing, they proved me wrong. The little game actually kept us busy for hours and really tested our creativity.

What are Rory’s Story Cubes?

One of the biggest advantages of Rory’s Story Cubes is that they encourage creativity. The first time you throw, you might think: «What am I supposed to do with them?» But that’s exactly when the fun starts. The symbols can be interpreted in many different ways and inspire you to invent the wildest stories. It’s exciting to see how different the stories can turn out depending on who rolls the dice.
My niece and I made up stories about brave adventures, talking animals and mysterious islands. Every game is different and often surprising.
