The Adidas "Superstar" is now also available as a 2-in-1 winter boot
A cult sneaker from Adidas gets a Winter Party update: the "Superstar" is now also available as a boot that keeps you warm and dry - and consists of two separate parts.
Sneakers and snow? Actually a bad combination. But now Adidas has transformed the iconic "Superstar" into a winter boot. The latest addition to the "Adifom" foam product line is a further development of the "Adifom Superstar Boot". A simple, chunky plastic boot that was launched last year.
In contrast to its predecessor, the winter-ready version consists of two parts: a quilted puffer boot and a chunky, loafer-shaped plastic shell. The inner boot is removable and can be worn separately.

While the inner part suggests a cosy and warm feel, the outer part with its distinctive profile is intended to protect against moisture and provide grip on slippery surfaces. Despite all the modifications, the silhouette of the plastic casing and the shell-shaped toe cap are still reminiscent of the original "Superstar" design.
Not yet available in Switzerland
The "Adifom Superstar Winter Boot" has not yet made it into our range. Unlike the "Adifom Superstar Boot", the model is currently only available directly on the brand's US website. There is a choice of three colour variants for the equivalent of around 110 francs: black, beige and mint green.
The release is not the first cold-weather boot in "Superstar" form. In the past, for example, there was already the "Superstar Boot Winterised", a low lace-up boot. The "Superstar 360 Boot" is also currently available for children. Unfortunately not with us.
Adidas launched the original "Superstar" over half a century ago as a basketball shoe. The model pushed the predominant chucks off the court in the 70s and gained huge popularity in the hip-hop scene in the mid-80s. <p
