The AMD Ryzen 5 7600X from the Raphael processor family has 6 CPU cores based on the "Zen 4" architecture. After "Zen", "Zen+", "Zen 2" and "Zen 3", this is the fifth generation of the Zen microarchitecture. Each processor core has access to the entire L3 cache. This contributes especially to the significantly increased performance in games. Paired with an AMD X670(E) or B650(E) chipset, the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X supports the PCI Express 5.0 standard, which is twice as fast as PCIe 4.0. All Ryzen 7000 processors use the AM5 platform and are designed for use with corresponding AMD chipsets.

In testing with initial benchmarks, the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X shows significant performance gains compared to its predecessor - 10 to 30 per cent, sometimes even more. In addition, you get a quite powerful integrated GPU. However, all this comes at a price: both the necessary cooling performance and the system performance grow, and even the purchase price moves into the next higher performance class.

The 7900X is the new number 1 among the top CPUs - AMD is thus extending the gap to its big rival Intel. And because the Ryzen 7000X processors now also have a graphics chip on board, there is less and less reason to buy the competitor's chips. However, the 7600X could not beat its cheaper rival 12600K.
