Product details
The AMD Ryzen 7 7700X from the Raphael processor family features 8 CPU cores based on the "Zen 4" architecture. Following "Zen," "Zen+," "Zen 2," and "Zen 3," this is the fifth generation of the Zen microarchitecture. Each processor core has access to the entire L3 cache, which significantly contributes to the enhanced performance in gaming. Paired with an AMD X670(E) or B650(E) chipset, the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X supports the PCI Express 5.0 standard, which is twice as fast as PCIe 4.0. All Ryzen 7000 processors utilize the AM5 platform and have been designed for use with compatible AMD chipsets.

Reviews & Ratings
What counts in the end: Who offers the best package? And a super-fast processor alone is not enough. The test winner was Intel's Core i7-14700K. The 20-core processor was extremely fast, its graphics chip offered a decent speed and it left nothing to be desired in terms of energy consumption...

AMD has a heart for gamers. The single-core performance of the Ryzen77700X is impressively high, making the CPU ideally suited for a gaming PC.

- Combines strong gaming performance with very high application values
- technically a further leap forward
- Very high efficiency
- Quite high power consumption
Thanks to many technical innovations, the Ryzen 7 7700X is on a par with its direct rival, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, in games. However, it is the clearly better choice, especially in the multithread area. This puts the eight-core in the sweet spot between gaming and application performance.
