The Apple streaming player is available in the 32 GB version for around 170 euros, double the storage capacity costs 50 euros more. Ultra HD is not available, nor is HDR. However, the picture quality in HD quality is respectable, although it is a little jerky in places. The model also offers surround sound (5.1), whereby the overall sound quality is very good...

High picture quality, a large selection of programmes and simple operation make the Appl set-top box a good stand-alone entertainer. However, it only shows its full talent in a team with other Apple products. If you take photos with your iPhone, use the iCloud or install HomeKit devices, you benefit from extras that other players cannot offer - whether they support Ultra HD or not.
Good overall package. Apple's box offers good picture quality ? both for Apple content from iTunes and for the Netflix video service. It is the easiest to operate. Voice control works well. Low power consumption. Has a Lan connection. Supports only a few online video theatres: iTunes, Netflix and Sky. Expensive. An Apple customer account is necessary.

The content - whether video or game - is displayed by the new Apple TV in Full HD quality (1080p) at the most. Apple did not support Ultra HD (4K) as with Amazon Fire TV. Because there is currently only a small amount of content in 4K, this is not yet a major limitation. However, this could already change in one or two years...
