The Asus RT-AX89X offers the full programme for the home network: high speed, numerous connections, many settings. It serves network enthusiasts with many devices just as perfectly as gamers. However, the extensive menu requires some familiarisation, and the high power consumption requires good nerves of steel when it comes to the next electricity bill.
With its eight fold-out wireless antennas, the RT-AX89X looks very extravagant, but they fulfil their purpose and ensure a particularly stable WLAN network with very high throughput rates. Only the Netgear router delivered a better result in our speed test.
