Das BlackBerry Z30 ist ein Smartphone mit einem sehr gut verarbeiteten Gehäuse. Aufgrund des Blackberry 10 OS muss man jedoch beim App-Store Kompromisse machen, zumal auch das Handling unterdurchschnittlich ist. Im Bereich Telefon und Akku erzielt das Smartphone im direkten Vergleich wiederum überdurchschnittliche Resultate.

Das Blackberry Z30 läuft mit dem Betriebssystem Blackberry OS 10. Das Gerät hat einen sehr großen, sehr hochauflösenden Touchscreen. Für Surfen und E-Mail ist der Blackberry sehr gut geeignet, er verwendet den schnellen LTE-Funk. Die Kamera löst langsam aus. Das Z30 ist sicherlich ein solides und leistungsstarkes Smartphone, dessen Performance aber nicht an top Modelle heranreicht. Immer wieder kann es zu Verzögerungen und auch die Android Apps sind nicht perfekt angepasst. Dennoch ein sehr ordentliche Wurf mit top Akkuleistung und farbintensivem Display.
Das Blackberry Z30 schneidet im Test ein ganzes Stück besser ab als der Vorgänger Z10, ist dafür aber auch rund 200 Euro teurer. Dermaßen groß sind die Unterschiede dann aber auch nicht.
