Up to ISO 3,200, the images remain noise-free. From ISO 6,400 a slight graininess begins, which is visually disturbing from ISO 25,600. The very well resolved test images only slowly lose performance. At ISO 1,600, a good 82% is still resolved in the centre of the image.

No longer new, but top: with the Canon EOS 6D you get a lot of camera for the money, especially because of the good image quality thanks to full format - even in poor light. Only the autofocus, which is too simple for fast subjects, is no longer up to date. For its class, the camera is light, but suitable lenses are heavy.

With the EOS 6D, Canon offers a lot of camera for a comparatively small budget - especially because of the impressive image quality even at astronomical ISO values. For an SLR camera in this class, the 6D is also quite compact and lightweight.
With the EOS 6D, Canon has brought a full-frame DSLR onto the market that can convince with its operation and image quality. The Canon scored "good" in the test, but it doesn't offer much help for videographers. The operation is rather cumbersome and the autofocus is also rather useless when filming. On the other hand, the behaviour at high ISO rates is good because there is hardly any noise and the manual setting of various things in the photo area is very well solved.
