The 720 gram, foldable drone is equipped with a multi-camera system: there is a 24 mm wide-angle camera and a 70 mm telephoto camera. However, at 1/1.3", the sensors are significantly smaller than those of the Mavic, and the drone does not support professional video formats. The drone has omnidirectional obstacle avoidance.
- Two cameras
- 4K video at up to 100 fps
- Obstacle sensors in all directions
- Upright videos only 2.7K
- Basic combo with only one battery
- 720 gram heavy
DJI has introduced a new drone for photographers and filmmakers. The DJI Air 3 has two cameras with wide-angle and medium telephoto lenses, but in contrast to similarly equipped premium models, the price is quite moderate: depending on the accessories, it starts at around 1,100 euros and ends at around 1,550 euros. CHIP was able to test the drone on sale and get a first impression.
