The distributor cable presented here for four fans with a 4-pin PWM connector (or 3-pin without PWM) allows operation from a single port on the motherboard or a fan controller. The cable can be connected with its 4-pin PWM plug to both a 4-pin PWM connector and a traditional 3-pin header. When connected to a PWM port on the motherboard, up to four PWM fans are synchronized and automatically controlled by the motherboard. To ensure adequate power supply, the cable must also be connected to a 4-pin Molex connector when more than one fan is connected to the cable.
