Product details
The in-camera five-axis image stabilisation (IBIS) is approximately 30 percent more compact and lighter than previous models.1 Overall, the X-S10 weighs only 465 grams and allows up to six EV steps2 longer
exposure times. It is the first mid-range model to be equipped with mechanical shock absorbers on the shutter. These protect the sensor from vibrations caused by the shutter mechanism. This results in images of high brilliance and sharpness in every shooting situation. The large, ergonomic handle of the X-S10 also contributes to a steady camera position.
With its digital film simulations, which are modelled on the look of legendary analogue films, Fujifilm is continuing its legacy from analogue photography. The X-S10 features 18 of these image styles, including "Eterna Bleach Bypass" for a high-contrast look with desaturated colors. The X-S10's advanced automatic mode automatically optimizes camera settings according to the detected subject types. This makes it easy to create stunning landscapes with vibrant, vivid colors and attractive portraits with natural skin tones. Even in backlit situations, balanced exposure results can be achieved without advanced knowledge.
The autofocus of the X-S10 focuses on the subject at lightning speed and tracks even dynamic subjects with high precision thanks to face and eye recognition. Focusing is up to 0.02 seconds fast and works in the dark down to -7 EV.3 EV.3 This performance is made possible by the X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor with 2.16 million phase AF pixels, which works in perfect harmony with the fast clocked X-Processor 4. Not only the autofocus of the new camera is racy fast, but also the continuous shooting: With mechanical shutter up to 8 frames per second are possible, with electronic shutter even up to 30 frames per second (with crop factor 1.25). When using the electronic viewfinder, the viewfinder image does not black out between two exposures, so the view of the subject is not impaired during continuous shooting.
The X-S10 captures 4K/30p quality video with 8-bit and 4:2:0 colour scanning directly to an SD memory card or outputs at 10-bit and 4:2:2 via an HDMI connection. In high-speed mode, Full HD and 240 frames per second produce impressive slow motion with 10x slowdown. Even movements that take place in a fraction of a second are captured vividly in the picture. In addition to the IBIS system, a digital image stabilisation system is used, which allows smooth and sharp shots even when walking. In IS-Boost mode, the stabilisation effect is further enhanced so that all camera movements are compensated for when taking stationary shots from the free hand.

The sovereign test victory goes to Fuji's high-resolution flagship X-H2, which, however, with a street price of approx. 2130 euros is considerably more expensive than the two new cameras. Despite the lower price, the Fuji X-S20 comes out on top against the Sony Alpha 6700, which does not quite live up to the claim of being a top model r...
