Da sich die App derzeit noch im Entwicklungsstadium befindet, gestaltet sich die Einrichtung des Lautsprechers sehr zeitaufwendig und erfordert den einen oder anderen Blick in die Bedienungsanleitung. Ansonsten überzeugt der L800HX mit seinem Funktionsumfang auf ganzer Linie.
Am vielseitigsten. Ideal fürs Telefonieren: unterstützt Schnurlos-Standard Dect, Funktion für Internet-Telefonie vorinstalliert. Klang bleibt selbst bei ungünstigen Winkeln sehr stabil.
Telefonieren fällt mit dem L800HX angenehm leicht, Einrichtung und Bedienung gelingen ohne Probleme. Wer Musik nicht nur zur Hintergrundbeschallung braucht, liegt mit ihm aber falsch: Der Klang konnte im Test nicht überzeugen.
Insgesamt hat Gigaset mit dem L800HX einen guten Alexa-Lautsprecher auf den Markt gebracht, und auch das Telefonieren funktioniert einwandfrei. Doch da dieser keinen Akku hat ist man mit der Telefonie leider an einen Raum gebunden - hier ist noch Raum für Nachbesserung.
... Es gibt allerdings auch kleine Wermutstropfen: So unterstützt der Gigaset-Speaker weder Multiroom noch Stereo. Schwerer wiegt jedoch, dass sich der führende Musikdienst Spotify bis dato nicht auf Zuruf nutzen lässt - wann die Funktion nachgereicht wird, ist noch unklar.
...An der Spracherkennung gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Auch der Klang ist mehr als ordentlich: Der 3-Zoll-Lautsprecher produziert einen ausgewogenen Mix aus Höhen und Tiefen - könnte allerdings gern etwas lauter sein.
