The December update brings many new TVs from LG, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung and Sony to our test database. 10 of the 15 perform well overall, 12 offer a good picture. The LG 65NANO919PA comes damn close to the contrast dynamics of an OLED TV, and at the same screen diagonal at a much lower price. The subtle differences are only visible in rare picture sequences and when the living room is completely darkened. It masters all Smart TV functions equally well and is also convincing in terms of sound, especially since it can easily be expanded with two wireless surround speakers.
