The Meta Quest 2 is a very good, affordable VR headset and is really incredibly fun as a standalone device. It gets an absolute buy recommendation. Mac compatibility leaves a lot to be desired though, you need to be aware of that. Apple's VR headset, which is rumoured to be released later this year, will of course set its own standards...

Best standalone glasses. Also runs without a PC, lots of freedom of movement. Battery lasts around 3 hours. VR quality, wearing comfort, handling good. Very light. Quick to set up. Not ideal for people who wear glasses. Privacy policy very incomplete.
