Step into the role of a tactical advisor for the Orange Star army and command troops in strategic, turn-based battles. Showcase your tactical skills as you maneuver land, air, and naval units across the battlefield. Eliminate enemy groups and capture cities and bases to achieve victory and maintain peace. Pay attention to terrain features and weather, as both can influence the course of battles. This remake includes two campaigns that let you experience the events from Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. Fight alongside capable commanders and defend your country with the support of Andy, Max, Tami, and other commanders, each possessing their own unique abilities and commander powers. Andy can repair units, while Tami can enhance troop capabilities. However, your opponents can also utilize commander powers. In both campaigns, the commanders you encounter play a critical role—both on the battlefield and in the storyline. Recruit friends and find out who the better strategist is. When you're not busy maintaining peace in the two campaigns, you can test your tactical skills in the versus mode. There, up to four players can compete on dozens of maps. Each player can choose a commander from any campaign and turn the tide of battle with their commander powers. Battles can be customized with options like money per base or fog of war to suit your preferences.
