Your journey begins when a famous professor in the field of Pokémon evolution hires you to travel the Sinnoh region and create an encyclopedia of all Pokémon known as the Pokédex. As a Pokémon Trainer, you'll encounter many people and Pokémon, including battle-hungry Trainers. Be wary, though - the shady Team Galactic are always causing you trouble. What are these fashionably dressed henchmen up to? Test your skills as a trainer by challenging arena leaders across Sinnoh. Each one will bring you one step closer to your chance to compete for glory in the Pokémon League. Do you have what it takes to become the next champ of Sinnoh? Do you have a favorite Pokémon that you can't bear to part with? Choose one to travel alongside you as you adventure through the Sinnoh region, talking to it and watching its reactions. On your adventure, you may encounter the Legendary Pokémon Dialga. Use the Exploration Set you'll receive during your adventure to visit the underground caverns, where you can engage in activities such as digging up valuable treasures and Pokémon fossils, or build and customize your own secret base to your liking. During your underground explorations, you'll find Pokémon lairs. They feature a variety of different environments, ranging from caves full of still waters to volcanic landscapes, each inhabited by different Pokémon. Among the Pokémon of the Sinnoh region, there are some that are found exclusively in these Pokémon Hatches.
