With its aluminium frame, Ambilight and slim base, the Philips offers a lot for the eye. The ears are not neglected either, with the Mimi app compensating for hearing impairments. The picture quality is pleasing with good scaling, and the Android TV equipment is complete.
The Philips PUS8506 impresses with its Ambilight: LED strips in the back of the TV light up in matching colours to the running picture, enveloping the entire room in a suitable lighting mood. Even when switched off, the Philips looks good with its aluminium frame; it can also be swivelled on the slim stand.
