Netgear Nighthawk WiFi 6 Mesh Extender AX8
Netgear Nighthawk WiFi 6 Mesh Extender AX8
I was able to run it with Salt's router and an extender from Salt in the same mesh.
Should work. But the added value is too low. You only strengthen the Wi-Fi with it. If the wi-fi at the PC is already too weak, then you are also repeating a weak signal there. The Gigabox WLAN is already weak. I would consider a power line solution if RJ45 from the router is not possible.
Hello, I use it as range wider for home wifi and can't say that it demonstrates the fool speed.
Hello I would like to add the following information to this question. Yes, the EAX80 (Netgear Nighthawk AX8) can be used as an AP via Ethernet cable. The info is very well hidden on NETGEAR's website. It appears in the manual on page 17. http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/EAX80/EAX80_UM_EN.pdf
Hello, Yes I can confirm that it is indeed a Mesh. It is not wired in my setup, it is Wi-Fi from my UPC modem and I can only see one connection point in my whole house. I have tried several other brands but this is the only one that has solved the problem of coverage of all the rooms in my large house (3 floors). Have a nice day.
According to information gathered, the device's USB port can only be used to connect USB storage devices such as flash drives or hard disks for data storage/sharing purposes and does not support the connection of computers, USB modems, routers, CD or DVD players, so connection sharing from the connected mobile phone is not possible.According to information gathered, the device's USB port can only be used to connect USB storage devices such as flash drives or hard disks for data storage/sharing purposes and does not support the connection of computers, USB modems, routers, CD or DVD drives, so connection sharing from the connected mobile phone is not possible.
Yes, I haven't found another one yet, or rather I have now renewed the system at home and opted for Netgear. I have now linked the "Netgear RAX200 Nighthawk" and "Netgear Nighthawk AX8 Mesh Extender" via 2.5 and 5 Ghz - you can also keep the two frequencies separate (as required). It was important to me that we only have one WiFi in the whole house and I have now achieved this efficiently with this system.
