Hello I've been searching for a long time and haven't found much. At Digitec, these seem to be the most that come into question. But the stand mount is a bit bigger than the surround speakers. Samson MS200 (1 pair, stand, height adjustable) I found the following on a google search as well. They cost a little more, but would fit very well. CANTON LS 3 Black/Silver (just type in Google) Kind regards GoldenSkull

Hello dear digitec/galaxus community: I have a question for the professionals. Since a few days I am the proud owner of an 85" Samsung TV (model 2022: QE-85Q80B) and the Samsung Soundbar (model 2021: HW-Q950A). Both components are perfectly matched and should deliver a great sound. And yes, it doesn't sound bad, but I'm not yet full of praise. But I think it's me and not the hardware. The TV and soundbar are connected correctly (via HDMI (expensive cable) and according to the instructions). Unfortunately, the rear speakers are at seat height, which is not ideal. The left one is on the left side in the direction of the seat, the right one on the right side. According to the forums, the mode Adaptive Sound+ should be set, i.e. the sound comes not only from the soundbar, subwoofer and rear speakers, but also from the TV. The sounds should be coordinated with each other. I did a calibration via SmartThings, and placed the subwoofer next to the soundbar instead of on the wall (this is supposed to be better, according to the forums) - membrane to the outside, hole to the back. Nevertheless, the sound is not that great. The voices sound a bit reverberant, the rear speakers hardly sound at all, the 3D effect is not noticeable. What is missing is the volume and the room effect (Dolby Atmos). With my previous soundbar (HW-R650), the sound was no worse. Or should I switch off the sound of the TV and go back to surround? Or have I overlooked something? Thanks in advance for your tips.

Helpful answer

"The HW-Q950A has four main sound modes: Standard, Surround, Game Pro, and Adaptive Sound. The latter three modes upmix all sound sources to 11.1.4-channel audio, including 5.1 and stereo sources. Standard, on the other hand, doesn’t perform any upmixing, so that’s the choice you’ll want to make if you want to hear stereo music streams as they were intended to be heard (save for the enhancement of bass via the subwoofer). While Surround mode is designed to boost the soundstage of movies and Game Pro helps gamers pinpoint the footsteps of opponents, Adaptive Sound aims to tailor the HW-Q950A’s audio automatically depending on whatever you’re listening to." von hier: https://www.techhive.com/article/579811/samsung-hw-q950a-review.html

Helpful answer

I can now answer the question myself; it is compatible with my TV (since my TV does not support HDMI eARC, however, I have to do without lossless Dolby Atmos, but not Atmos content per se -> HDMI ARC connection available). The wireless connection of the speakers is stable, I haven't had any interruptions in the connection or sound problems yet.

According to our research, the Samsung Q950a soundbar is unfortunately not compatible with Dolby Vision. It is equipped with HDMI eArc sockets. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not indicate VRR and ALLM compatibility.
