Perfect for my purposes
I only needed the drive for reading music CDs (digitising). It recognises all formats, even 20-year-old home-burned CDs. The sometimes loud noise when reading depends on the quality of the disc. Overall, the purchase was worthwhile.

A "Monday product" for the second mail?
The first time I thought I had bad luck, the second time after a few times the same problems: Tray can only be operated via emergency opening, device is not recognised by PC or notebook or only after a dozen attempts, only to say goodbye again, and if this is successful, the burning process aborts every second time during burning. A real nuisance!
