Canon MF643Cdw i-SENSYS

I am very satisfied! What is not in the description is Scan to SMB/CIFS. This means that scanning to an SMB share is possible (instead of just FTP). Tested with MacOS 10.4, Ubuntu 16.04, Win7.
Printing without driver installation under Linux via PCL6 did not work for me > Probably only for advanced users. But there is a UFRII driver package for Linux.
Touchscreen sometimes reacts a bit sluggishly.
Ok I am updating this review now that I have had it for a few days. I got this printer for 270chf in the sale which was a good price but let me please first say that this printer is very difficult to set up and it is NOT for non-technical users. It is designed for deployment on a network by an IT administrator. The software driver is super basic and most of the configuration needs to be done via a confusing web interface. There is NO fancy software package to help you out and guide you through the printing or scanning processes like with Brother or HP. That is very frustrating and disappointing if that is what you are expecting from a home office printer.
Anyway, I am a pretty technical guy and I still spent some long hours getting this printer configured to how I wanted it. I am not alone in finding it difficult... I had to do a lot of Googling to set some of the functions up and the internet is full of online posts from people who also struggled to get Scan2email (Gmail was a pain with the settings) or Scan2file setup to my NAS device (FTP is easiest).
However, now that I have it set up I am satisfied with the functionality and print quality... photos look surprisingly good as long as they are mostly light coloured and not dark. There is an extensive range of print options but you have to spend time researching them to figure them out to get the best quality because the terminology is Canon-specific.
Scanning is ok but I can't figure out how to get the 9600x9600 scan quality options so am still fiuring that out. The ADF is duplex which is very cool, especially for this price range.
The printer is not small but not huge... it still takes up space though so make sure you have room. In the end I now have it set up just like my office printer and can now scan to Gmail and scan to my NAS and print from any laptop with ease. However, getting there was not easy. :)

Perfect quality vs good price
+ Price performance
+ Print quality
+ Print via mobile phone
+ Colour calibration: Print test page and scan, done
The device was delivered with an Ethernet cable. It didn't work! It was faulty, and cost me a lot of time. Replacing it with one I already had fixed the problem immediately.

Printer model with Wi-Fi will made your day!
It's very convenient for small office or WFH office nowadays.
Fast Laser printer with color printing feature.
Easy to setup under Mac OS (AirPrint), Chrome OS and Linux (modern Ubuntu).
With Windows 10 you might experience a problem with setting it up via Wi-Fi. Standard Canon Driver wizard wouldn't find the printer even if you specify the IP address. I was able to setup it as IPP printer only.
To enable Scan function to send scans by Email using GMail account will require a few settings' tweaks:
1. Change SMTP port: Settings/Registration -> Network Settings -> Port Number Settings -> SMTP = 587
2. Enable 2FA in your GMail account if you didn't yet.
3. Add Application Password for "Mail" under Security settings @ Google Account. This will generate 16-characters passcode.
More Info: https://support.google.com/accounts...
4. Specify SMTP settings: Settings/Registration -> TX Settings -> E-mail / I-Fax settings:
- SMTP Server: smtp.google.com
- Email Address: your-email@gmail.com (address which will be in "From" field)
- SMTP AUTH: On
--- Username: your-email@gmail.com
--- Password: *** 16-characters passcode ***
- Use TLS for SMTP: On
5. Turn Off "TX Result Report" at Settings/Registration -> TX Settings.
In case of failures you can check Error codes at "Status Monitor/Cancel -> TX Job Log". Error codes described here:

Cartridges cost a little. But they last a long time!
I had an inkjet printer from HP before that disappointed me a lot. Because shortly after the warranty expired, the print head broke. Message after switching on. I still had 3 complete sets of cartridges at 100Fr each. No more HP printers.
I am very satisfied with HP computers.

I bought the machine because I also want to scan double-sided from a document feeder.
In principle, this is possible, but it takes a lot of time and nerves, because the software is yesterday's news and keeps crashing.
What's more, when the machine goes into power-saving mode, you can't wake it up with a print job. So you have to go to the printer every time to wake it up.
I would definitely not buy this machine again.

I evaluated for a longer time and then bought the right printer for me. The photo print was important to me, otherwise there are also cheaper Pinter. At the beginning the photo print was pale, but with the readjustment in the menu Adjustments/Maintenance the print became unbelievably good (see photos, approx. A5 size).
I can absolutely recommend the printer. I use it privately as a network printer.
The setup didn't seem complicated at all - I unpacked and installed it within half an hour. It worked right away. A day later I installed the scan utility on the PC. Works excellent.
Digitec also did an excellent job. As soon as the printer was available, I received an email and was able to order immediately. Delivery prompt and no problems.

I ordered this printer for home and small business use. It is quite cheap to run per page and wifi support is awesome, meaning we can print from any computer in our house over wifi. We can also print from our phones, although i haven't tried that.
The screen is good quality, a couple of time i had to click twice, but overall this is a wicked printer at a very reasonable cost.

The economical but fully-fledged solution for a home laser multifunction printer with amazingly beautiful printouts. Difficult installation; otherwise tip top!

Been using it for a few months now and it works flawlessly. I would never go back to an inkjet printer. Laser is just ready to go straight away.
Does anyone happen to know if/how you can load multiple pages at once and have it scan them one at a time?
