The order and delivery were very speedy and everything worked wonderfully.
Quick and trouble-free installation process of the printer.
Installation brochure could be more detailed.
Unfortunately, there is no instruction leaflet enclosed and everything has to be
downloaded from the internet.
Unnecessary software included that disfigures the desktop.
Black and colour printing fast and good.
Copying also possible without problems.
BUT. I am very disappointed with the photo printing. As a hobby photographer, I assume that Canon is also competent when it comes to printers, but this is far from the case.
Even the adjustment of various parameters did not lead to satisfactory results.
My old 7 year old HP printer was much better in this respect.

- You can print documents from Dropbox/Google Drive directly from the printer. It's a bit of a hassle, but it works. It's easier and faster via the iOS/Android apps or Google Cloud Print/Airprint.
- Works under Linux/Mac/Win
You can print either via the app (Android, iOS) or via Google Cloud Print or AirPrint. Many formats are supported, the app can also convert Word files and print them correctly. Without the app, i.e. only with AirPrint, Word documents sometimes look funny. The app fixes this in a practical way and prints the documents correctly. Scanning is also possible via the app; you can create either JPEGs or PDFs. Practical: you can directly create multi-page PDFs by scanning several pages one after the other.
For frequent paper jams: activate the "Prevent paper jam" setting. The printer then prints more slowly but without jams.
Of course, with these low-priced printers, the ink costs almost as much as the whole printer, but that's just the way it is with all these models.Pro

The paper retainer is too short, 80% of the paper falls to the floor after printing (the retainer is too short).
It does not recognise fine colour differences when copying.
I am glad it has 5 individual cartridges. Unfortunately, they cannot be refilled.

Absolutely fine
The printer is easy to install. The wireless connection works flawlessly. Scanning speed is a little cumbersome as it is single sheet scanning. Print speed is good for home use. Duplex works.

Absolutely recommended for private use
The printer is very easy to use and has been working perfectly for over a year now. (The printer is at my grandfather's and he is able to operate it without having a problem with the printer except when the ink cartridges had to be changed I had to do it :)) )
The print quality and speed are top for this price.

I have a completely different opinion than the average person. Here's what bothers me:
- The machine often cleans the print head before printing, which takes about three minutes.
- The output "tray" is far too short, the paper hangs over the front after output and can even fall right down.
- The machine is very noisy, especially during initialisation / cleaning.
