Disappointing!
Paper has to be reloaded every time, paper jams all the time, only prints half a page, 3 white pages come out after one printed page, constantly ticks over. Bought in January 2018.
I cannot recommend this printer at all!
Paper has to be registered, output tray not pulled out properly... he's always grumbling. Everything is a bit wobbly and doesn't seem to fit properly.

Unusable
This product is an ink destruction machine and is unsuitable for home use. After two years of problems with the printer, I happily threw it down the stairs......one of the best feelings ever.

28 years in photo sales, well this printer is really the worst I've had. I regret my purchase, I have had it for only two months, it makes me angry....

Super quality and simplicity
Super easy to set up like all Canon printers, but with each new model you are surprised at the details that make it easier to use. Automatic start-up when sending printouts, the control panel and the paper output are set up automatically, and when stopping, the paper output and the control panel are reset to prevent accidents. In addition GALAXUS offers a 5 year warranty extension. Remember to order spare ink cartridges at the same time, as the ones delivered are half full (as always with a new printer)!

Simple functionality with great photo printing for home
Great quality printing and with airprint and app support its really simple to use from multiple devices. Uses ink faster than expected especially when printing photos, but excellent for home use.

Print quality would be good so far, but:
Strange behaviour regarding double-sided printing, etc.. Somehow the coordination with the printer menu (Mac) does not seem to work well. Cumbersome paper registration and above all:
Borderless printing only works if photo paper is selected! Unfortunately unusable for our purposes. And simply that it is said: I also had two Canon printers before with which I had nowhere near such problems. And yes, I have updated the firmware. So either I was unlucky with a piece of junk equipment or the printer really is junk.Pro

Very positive!
I bought this printer for the quality of the photo printing and I am very satisfied. The extra cartridges (4 colour + photo black + black) compared to a standard Inkjet printer (3 colour + black cartridges) make the difference.

- Paper tray does not slide in flush with the machine after set-up. It protrudes 4.5 cm.
- Ink is Fr. 3.- more expensive than that for the MP810 although it has 3 ml less ink in it.
- Canon support a bit weak. The device is probably still too new.
