The sound is quite good, better than I expected. I had to downsize from a 5.1 system because my wife didn't want all the boxes and cables anymore.
Now my wife is happy and I have to say in the end I'm sad to say goodbye to my old system but quite content with this box.

Finally a soundbar with style!
This soundbar not only sounds good, it also looks good. But what does it mean, it sounds good? With the app, I can set pretty much everything I need. Since this soundbar is a 3.0 system, which means that it contains a centre + front right + front left and also serves as a small receiver, I can emphasise dialogue in films very precisely, operate the equaliser and also precisely equalise the sound/image delay. So I get a comprehensive sound to either music or film. Just the way I like it.
It is clear, however, that a soundbar cannot come close to studio monitors; the physical dimensions of the resonance body set their limits somewhere. But if you are aware of this, you will be very happy with this soundbar. However, if you are bothered by the frequency range, you can simply extend it with a subwoofer and enjoy the low frequencies as well.

Great sound! I've been using it for a while now, but it's been a bit of a pain since I changed my modem, it sometimes loses its configuration and I have to reset it and re-enter the wi-fi password... otherwise great product.
... it's a bit strange that the thing has no display, no menu to configure etc.. Everything is done via the HEOS app. It works very well, which is the most important thing.
The Heos Bar is one of the best, if not the best soundbar with its features. It has many HDMI connections, a coax connection and an optical connection. You can upgrade it to a 5.1 which is super easy. The only thing that doesn't work, or only with a lot of problems, is when you want to group the 5.1 system with another Heos speaker for listening to music, for example.
You should always have the 5.1 as such and use two separate Heos (which you can then also group) for music. That way it works just perfectly.
I don't want to reopen the other reviewers or repeat the same thing. But I have to say this: the Denon app is terrible. As easy as the system was to set up (unpack, connect, enjoy), the app is just as bad to use. The word "user experience" doesn't seem to be in Denon's vocabulary. Too bad...

Very good device, beautiful design, very space-saving. Goes very well with all kinds of furniture.
I started by trying the Heos home cinema, which I thought was not bad but it was still average. I finally fell for the Heos Bar with the Heos Sub and the result is just sublime! All that's missing is the Heos 1 or 3 surround speakers but that's not even necessary.

Since a review was made especially for me, I almost had to buy the product. (I bought it via the office account, which is why it is not visible to me).
The Heos Bar comes elegantly packaged. With the network cable, Toslink cable and HDMI, I also find the accessories good.
I like the design very much, simple and elegant.
The set-up is very quick and so is the connection to the network.
But from here on, I personally find the APP a horror. The APP is divided into 3 categories, but none of them relates to the TV function. Of course it is Multiroom and designed for sound, but it is a soundbar for the TV. I also find the APP rather slow, I tested it with 3 devices, 2 of which are very up to date, maybe that will change. In addition, the system is not designed for multiple devices at the same time. (If Denon reads this, please revise the APP).
Since the 2 for 1 promotion of the Heos 1 was also bought, the connection for Sourround is very simple and works perfectly.
I would buy this product again because the quality and the sound are convincing.
Suggestions for improvement for Denon:
- The APP asks me every time if I want to set up ARC -> this is set up and works, but I am still asked.
- I have about 5 devices in the house, but the APP does not work at all when several devices have it open at the same time.
- A 4 category that is only there for TV.
- Performance could also be better (tested with Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, Honor 8, and Nvidia Shield K1.
- A way to operate the device from a Windows computer.
- Make standby more visible, I have no idea if the device is in standby or not.
So that's it, I hope I haven't scared too many people into buying the product.
