Fitbit Versa Special Edition

I have tried several models of smartwatches: Apple Watch Series 2, Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 and now Fitbit Versa. Although the other smartwatches are certainly more elegant and "beautiful", Fitbit Versa is the only usable smartwatch for the Android platform (and thus comes close to the functionality of the Apple Watch). By functionality I mean that, for example, notifications are displayed after vibrating and then raising the arm. The Samsung Watch, for example, vibrates and displays the notification immediately - by the time you typically lift your arm, the notification has already disappeared...
BUT: I consider the privacy of Fitbit to be the biggest disadvantage; data (incl. health data) is permanently exchanged with the manufacturer; use without a Fitbit connection is not possible.

Crashes all the time, always restarts for no reason and suddenly vibrates and can only be made to stop by a complete rest.
Sucks
Many comments refer negatively to things like "Credit card does not work with my provider" or "Many apps not usable".
In my opinion, you have to inform yourself enough about a product before you buy it. And if you know that you can NOT pay with your credit card with the watch and that you can't use some apps that you could use on WearOS or an Apple Watch, but you still decide to buy the watch because you want a good combination of smartwatch and sports watch, then you are buying a top watch for a reasonable price with the Fitbit Versa.
Sports are well analysed and tracked, the pedometer is very accurate (with normal deviations), the heart rate monitor has always measured my pulse very reliably and accurately and I get notifications from EVERY app on my phone. The sleep tracking is also pretty good in my opinion, I have also acquired a better sleep rhythm thanks to the Versa. All in all, the perfect combo for me. The battery lasts me just under 5 days, which is also perfectly fine for me.
The only negative points: No onboard GPS and the Fitbit app always has to run in the background so I can receive messages.
Otherwise a top watch.

A Fitbit that I myself have been waiting for for a long time. It offers the essential functions of a smartwatch, Fitbit Pay supports popular Swiss free credit cards (e.g. mcumulus) and useful apps complement the good basic offer.
Two minor wishes remain: When running, spoken usage data should be transferred to the headphones and the replacement bands of the Special Edition should be reorderable.

I especially love the "alarm clock" function. I use it as a little time manager!

Absolute disaster. I couldn't set up the device because no Bluetooth connection was possible despite my new mobile phone and laptop. I read through various forums, called Fitbit support three times, sometimes with a waiting time of over half an hour, but they couldn't help me either. Then I was allowed to send the watch to Holland and am now waiting to see what happens next.... Absolutely frustrating. And the shocking thing is that it's not Galaxus who sold me the watch that has to take care of everything, but me as the customer who has already paid for everything!
I got the watch back after 2.5 weeks and what happens - you can hardly believe it, I still can't set up the watch via Bluetooth! Have tried with a new Huawei P30, with a Huawei P20 pro, with a new Huawei laptop Matebook Xpro and with an Ipad air.... The customer service of Fitbit could not help me again. However, I may send the watch to Holland again....
That can't be!
I am satisfied
The relatively low price compared to other smartwatches and sports watches is noticeable in the functionality and operation. For less demanding users who are looking for a sports watch with the most important functions for their hobby, it serves the purpose well. Less suitable for ambitious athletes or professionals.

Shows the time and tracks the steps ok, heart rate also kinda works. Getting the app to communicate with the watch is not trivial, there seems to be a lot of bugs. Occasionally loses connectivity and you have to do some magic dancing with manually rebooting the watch, enabling/disabling Bluetooth on the phone and force-stopping the app. Watch can easily confuse cycling and walking unless you explicitly tell you which you are doing... in which case I'd rather just use Strava on the phone.
UPD: the first time I tried to take a swim, the "50m water-resistant" watch bricked itself. Apparently there are many reports of the same type of issues related to this model, but the company doesn't give a shit.

The glass is not as I imagined it, because it can't be so scratched after 2 days, with normal use 😒

All in all, I am very satisfied with the Versa. I like the design and it's fun to measure myself with the watch and play around with the various apps. However, I would like to see a few more apps, for example a decent control for Spotify. Changing the straps was a bit of a hassle at the beginning, it's a bit of a fiddly job for me. The battery lasts about 4 days.

Very nice and functional watch for the price!
I find the exercises and also the couch very good!
Only the battery could last longer!
If you do an exercise every day or need the couch, it only lasts 2/2.5 days - that's not much!
But since it is not too big and looks really good, I would buy it again any time!

A pretty watch. However, the fabric strap is not quite as robust as I would like. After a while it frays a bit. I bought another strap. However, the fabric strap is one of the nicest. Unfortunately, the watch doesn't connect with my Bluetooth headphones (which is what I bought the watch for - listening to music without a mobile phone would be really great :D) so I give it one star less. Simple menu, everything explained very clearly. The many watch faces can be a bit overwhelming, but there is one for every taste.
The watch is very light and easy to wear, and I'm very happy with it. I was lucky enough to get it at a bargain price. If the price drops again, I'll get one for my partner.

You have to swipe your finger over it, then it always shows you all the functions.
Should have paid the extra for an Apple watch

Great and beautiful watch. Good compromise to the AppleWatch. The battery doesn't knock your socks off either, but it's better than 18 hours for the Apple company. Apart from the battery, perfect and recommendable
