If more than one member of the family has a Garmin watch, you can use the app to challenge the number of steps taken by your children.

Actually ne good watch, but with removable battery. App is also well made.
But the whole thing comes with such a parenting system. Parents should enter todos and appointments and every time the goal is reached, there's a virtual coin. Parents can then determine for themselves what there is, for example, at the end of the month as a reward for the collected coins.
Some may like this, but not me. I don't want my kids to only do things because there are coins.
But you don't have to use that part.

The watch is a good way to start learning about time and time awareness as well as encouraging movement through pedometers. No localisation system, no emergency phone calls possible.
