A top class affordable mobile phone!
The Huawei P20 is a very good smartphone, and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The workmanship in particular is excellent. I would buy it again at any time.

Almost perfect
I have been using the device for 1.5 months now and am actually very satisfied. The most negative point for me is the glass back. I don't understand why Huawei built in a glass back without wireless charging. Visually, it might still be nice, but unfortunately I'm really too afraid to use the device without the included cover because it's incredibly slippery. I really like the display and the camera takes great pictures. Only the skin smoothing filter for selfies, which can't be switched off completely, is a bit annoying. I decided against the larger Pro because it fits better in my hand and I have to say it is really easy to use with one hand with medium-sized hands.

Camera broke for no reason after only seven weeks
I was very pleased with the phone and chose it mainly because of the good camera, which I wanted to use properly during the holidays.
On the first day of my trip, my phone was only seven weeks old, I took it out of my pocket to take a photo. Something was strange and the photo was blurry. I thought the lens might be dirty and wanted to clean it. That's when I noticed the crack right through the protruding camera cover. What a disappointment! I was so frustrated that I didn't even think of taking a photo of the damage. Although I stuck a plaster (you don't have much else with you when you travel) over the crack, it didn't last long and some splinters came loose.
Now that I couldn't take a single photo during my holidays, I tried to sort everything out back home. At first I was confident, because I hadn't dropped the phone and it was clearly a material defect! At first, I tried to get the whole thing sorted out directly via Digitec. Hopeless! But if you google the keywords "Digitech" and "warranty", you'll find lots of articles about how bad Digitec's service is. Next attempt: directly via Huawei. They blame me and finally charge me 215.- for the repair (a piece of glass and about 10 minutes of work). (Hello throwaway society!)
CONCLUSION : never again digitech, never again HuaweiPro

Price-performance ratio!
I didn't buy it from digitec.ch but from another supplier during a special offer.
Previously had: Galaxy S7 Edge HTC U11, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S9.
I have to say that the Huawei P20 surprised me positively. My expectations were not too high, as I had a bad experience with a Huawei P6.
But with the P20, the whole package is right!Pro

Very good price-performance ratio - unfortunately service not available
Product has worked very well. Unfortunately, the battery has blown up and detached the back of the mobile. I opened the warranty claim 6 weeks ago. Unfortunately, still no feedback. This is very disappointing. Especially with electronic products, a quicker response should be expected.

I really don't get the hype
I got this phone when it launched after looking at a lot of reviews.
Well, it's one of the times reviews didn't help a lot.
So let me sum up my two-year experiences:
1) Sometimes it randomly restarts, it doesn't happen always and I don't know whats triggering it but I'm pulling it from my pocket and I see that my sims are locked, eh not ideal..
2) Charging became flicky in one year, by this I mean I have to find a position for it to charge and if I move it a bit accidentally then it will just stop charging.
3) Speedwise I am not sure if am objective at this point but it feels ok, but just ok.
4) Now the camera, which was actually one of the things this phone was promoted on, guys it's not good, I don't know what the standards for pictures are but at least from my phone all the pictures look meh.I'm not comparing it with a DSLR just with other phones from it's range.

Has hardware problems
The fingerprint sensor stopped working and started overheating just 6 months after purchase. Now the battery runs out in just few hours and also the phone becomes too hot very quickly. No easy way to fix apparently, the only way would be to replace the whole screen which is expensive. Shouldn't have purchased this phone.

Until now, I was always of the opinion that even the cheapest mobile phone would serve its purpose.

Good value for money for an almost flagship smartphone
Very good smartphone without having to pay the price of a Flagship. I really like the design and the grip. The battery lasts well for a whole day and the fast charge is very convenient because the phone is recharged in less than an hour.
A transparent shell and jack adapter is provided. Good quality speakers. The only weak point is its camera still not up to the level of Samsung or Apple. The AI is very random and tends to smooth the skin a lot even when you remove the beautification option. The image definition is very average even in PRO mode.
I recommend this phone for its value for money compared to its competitors.Pro

Top for the price, with small drawbacks: I previously had an iphoneX with which I always had problems with the voice quality. After three repairs, I had enough. In addition, this face unlock was extremely annoying. Now I have a fingerprint sensor again and a much faster faceunlock, by the way. Plus an acceptable camera (but never comes close to that of the iPhone) and various great features that only Android offers (Notification LED, Agenda Widget) plus Dual Sim. What I don't like is EMUI, such a tinkering... And associated with that the problems with all Google Apps: No notifications for new mails with the GMail App, With the Google CAlendar appointments are deleted and cancelled every day if you integrate it into the Huawei calendar.The horror. So if you depend on Google Apps, get ready for some tinkering. A workaround is Nova Launcher, but then it doesn't show any more missed calls, grrr....

Great phone, great design and great pictures
I changed my iPhone 6s for the Huawei P20 and I think it's really great! At first it takes a bit of time to get used to Android, but you can do so much with it! I found all my applications that I had on my iPhone. The camera is really good, sometimes I prefer the photos of the iPhone but what is sure is that the P20 has better performance!

I only have problems with this phone.
Because I've never had a Huawei before,
I got one this time.
