Works, but is extremely noisy. Software from LaCie which is offered for download for the Mac, has led to the system crash - OS 10.15.4. The RAID manager of the operating system fulfills its purpose without problems.

To be honest, I am very disappointed.
I was always a big fan of LACIE and have many products from the cooker manufacturer (which now belongs to Seagate). I bought this one because I thought the integrated dock functionality was actually great: ONE device on the desk that also combines a RAID system, card reader and USB (C) hub - a great idea.
It quickly became clear to me that the device has a crucial catch: the loud fan. The access noises are also really annoyingly loud, so I turned the device off as often as possible. Even in sleep mode, however, the disks keep starting up and you really have to switch the unit OFF by pressing it for a long time - THEN, of course, the card reader no longer works either...
After almost a year, I wanted to switch the disk on again. Unfortunately, the pretty blue LED only lit up RED and I could no longer access it. The service team contacted me and found a defect (oh wonder) - I should please pack everything up and send it to the USA for data recovery. This would take ONLY 30 working days. There was no other way to access my data (a RAID system). I then removed one of the two disks and was able to access the data without any problems, so it was only the housing that was broken. I contacted the manufacturer again and asked for a replacement unit. However, they could only send me a replacement once my current unit had arrived at the manufacturer - so I sent it - at MY COST - to a Seagate collection point in Munich. Just one week later, I received the shipping notice for my replacement unit. THIS is what I just unpacked. It is a refurbished unit with stains and scratches.
Honestly: A hard drive at THAT price from one of the most expensive manufacturers, with this annoying and loud functionality in combination with such poor service?
Sorry, LACIE, EVERY other manufacturer can do better.

I need a new power supply unit while it is still under warranty. Digitec reports that it cannot be ordered. LaCie is unreachable on all channels or gives no answer, which comes to the same thing. Seagate hasn't heard from me yet either. So the hard drive has been unusable for weeks, including the data. What a wasteful piece of crap that doesn't even steam. Anyone who knows where to get this shit, please let me know. Thank you!

I ordered the device on Friday at 5pm and it arrived in the post on Saturday. It was recognised immediately on my Mac and was set up as Raid 1 in no time.
I find the integrated docking station very practical. Especially for photographers. I can connect my Eizo monitor with Displayport without any problems. And there is an integrated card reader for CF cards. And I can attach the drone to the USB-C.
The Thunderbolt cable is rather short, but I didn't see that as a negative. If you have it right next to the computer, the length fits, but then I also needed a longer one.
Swiss power cables are now supplied by digitec. So the older comments on this are outdated.

Compared to OWC, a solid software solution.
