Simple and perceived safe commissioning

Good cold wallet option!
Good option from BINANCE and other online storage options - who knows which companies will be around when you finally want to cash in on crypto’s future promise!

Firmware Update and company lies
The Ledger Company decided to lie to all its customers and is now enabling a "feature" that can extract your private key (divided in shards and encrypted) and send them to their servers.
They always stated that their secure element could not extract the key under any circumstance, but with a simple firmware update it is now possible to compromise your keys.
It is only a matter of time until this new "feature" (as they call it) will be exploited by malicious third party.
Please stay away from this product, i highly suggest to galaxus/digitec to stop selling Ledger's wallets.Contra

The private key is not private!
The purpose of a hardware wallet is to keep the private key PRIVATE at all times. A real hardware wallet should not have a hidden backdoor where even the touching of the private key should be possible.
On the internet on Twitter Ledger admitted that during the update process the key could technically be copied to the computer.

Does not fulfil its purpose
With the ledger recovery, the private key may now be stored on external servers after all. It therefore does not fulfil its purpose.

Perfect for keeping your cryptos
Very good crypto safe.
Easy to use and set up, I was able to transfer crypto VERY easily. It's much simpler and faster than the classic exchanges.
The doc is well explained even if some details are missing on some crypto transfers (like Bitcoin! segwit or taproot!?)
So I advise everyone to get a ledger, to get out of the exchanges that can sink or block your account for NO reason, and to make your transactions alone, without delay and without having to pay fees.Pro

The Ledger Nano S Plus is super handy and can be carried around at all times. It is also completely sufficient for a "normal" person.

The only thing that bothers me a bit is that a slightly longer connection cable should be included.

Simply Safe
This is the first time I have stored my cryptos on a cold wallet and I have to admit that the instructions provided and the online installation guide were very easy to understand. You are guided step by step.
This means that it can also be implemented without YouTube videos!
It is also possible to save more than two / three assets (cryptos).
An app must be installed for each currency. If the space is full, you delete the app (e.g. BTC), install another one if necessary (e.g. XRP) and if you need BTC again, you install the app again with all assets.Pro
