I was a little sceptical before buying because of the many negative comments from high-end audio fanatics all over the internet. I would advise them not to buy it.
For me, however, it is the first 5.1 system to which "ordinary" active speakers (M-Audio Studiophile AV40) have given way.
First of all, let's talk about my setup:
- Set up in an open living room (25-30m2).
- Front satellites and centre next to or directly in front of the TV.
- Rear satellites at the same distance on the couch (which is quite big), wall mounting not necessary in my case.
- Subwoofer next to the TV unit, may be moved in the future.
- On-board sound card of the PC via optical cable
- PS3 via optical cable
- Xbox360 via optical cable and optical/coax converter/repeater on digital coax port
Conclusion after just under a week:
- Films
...are watched via the BluRay player of the PC, just like in the cinema! Just yesterday I watched Prometheus with DTS at a decent volume.... Goosebumps!
- Music, also via the PC
...Soft to Pop/Rock sounds wonderful, no matter if loud or soft!
...With technoid sound (and that's where I can hear every detail) I have to cut back slightly. The mids sound a bit muffled, especially at low volume, but still ok. The bass comes exclusively from the subwoofer. You don't have to expect anything from the satellites, and I didn't either. At higher volumes, however, the sound is decent and even exceeds my personal expectations.

...becomes an absolutely new experience with DTS!
The set-up is very easy and self-explanatory. You just have to experiment a bit with the placement of the satellites. I recommend not placing them too far apart. Accessories for wall mounting are available on the Logitech website at a reasonable price.
There would have been room for more options on the remote control, such as separate channel selection. However, as with everything else, you quickly get used to it.

Good, affordable 5.1 sound system
A really great sound system. The speakers feel high-quality, but they are also relatively heavy. The sound quality is top! The supplied cables are all long enough, except for the 6-channel cable that connects the amplifier in the subwoofer to the computer, this is relatively short, I would recommend buying an extension if the subwoofer is more than 1.5 - 2 m away from the PC.

The Z906 from Logitech convinced me with its price-performance ratio! I was able to buy the sound system here on digitec for CHF 199. The package weighed about 15 kg and was delivered without any problems.
The structure of the package makes it easy for the consumer to install the individual components. The system is ready for use in a short time.
The satellites (loudspeakers) impress with their extremely high-quality workmanship, which is noticeable, among other things, in the weight. The actual loudspeaker on the satellite is protected by a metal cap with holes. However, the sound quality remains excellent due to the protection. The centre speaker is in landscape position, the other 4 satellites are in vertical position. All speakers are slightly tilted upwards. The long cables (which are extremely well made) make a good impression.
Once the system is set up, it can be operated by console or remote control. Both tools are very easy to use.
When looking for a wall mount for the speakers, I had a hard time finding one. The screw thread in the speakers has been installed according to the English screw system, so you need English screws to mount them. In my opinion, this is not so well solved.
The sound quality is incredible. The system is particularly suitable for the sound of films as well as for listening to music. The individual speakers can be adjusted individually (by volume). You can also switch between surround (5.1), 4.1 and 2.1.
All in all: one of the best products for music. In the field of music, Logitech is not only convincing in this system. The UE Boom and other Logitech products are also excellent. I can only recommend the system!Pro

Bought for 199.- and super satisfied.
The sound is simply amazing because the bass does it! - It has replaced my old Sony amplifier and is now in my living room/home cinema. Only the cables for the rear 2 speakers (7.6m) are a bit short for our living room.
Otherwise, everything is top notch! Had to just sit down and enjoy music several times at the weekend.
I was a bit upset at first because I didn't find an AUX connection.... which I almost overlooked ... it's on the console and not on the bass where all the other cables say hello to each other.
I'll get it again the next time I buy one -> for the sake of the workplace :)Pro

Well, I can't find anything negative about the subwoofer, on the contrary. If you are not satisfied with it, the subwoofer *is* defective or you have an oversized idea of good sound.

My opinion.
+ Super sound
+ Bass very deep and powerful (depending on which device the system is connected to).
+ Satellite speakers are also very good, especially in the clear sound you can really hear every note.
+ Top workmanship
+ Price - performance really top (I've bought more expensive systems that were only half as good or completely unusable! (still good 20 years ago)
On the negative side:
- If you have several devices connected, you have to change the input, the system has 6 inputs and, for example, if you are on the second and want to switch to the first, you have to switch through all of them, which I personally find rather tedious, because my PC screen is also my TV. Therefore, I always have to switch.
Otherwise everything is tip top, full BUY recommendation.

Unfortunately, after 11 days, the output for one speaker is already defective.
You have to dismantle the whole system again, which is quite annoying, but you get a new one sent home after 2 days.

The workmanship is very solid despite the plastic. The sound is very good, especially with Blu-ray. Of course, the sound system's full potential is not exploited with streaming TV. The system is optimal for home cinema and offers precise surround sound and deep bass. However, if you want to listen to music with the system, you will unfortunately reach the limits with the high tones in moderately demanding songs because there are no full-fledged tweeters.
The installation of the system is very complex. In addition, I bought 4 wall mounts. I attached the four speakers in the room to the wall brackets. Particularly annoying, because you can not get the necessary screws in the usual hardware store, because Logitech has installed inch threads. Now it's time to lay the supplied cables, which are a bit too short. Two 5m and two 2m cables are included. So we had to get another 20 meters of cable to wire all the speakers.Pro

Super device but quickly broken
I am very happy with the loudspeakers. Unfortunately, after about 2 years, I have noticed that the system often won't switch on or off, so I have to pull the plug every time and wait a short while. Then it works again.
This sometimes happens 1 or 2 times in a row and that's fine, but sometimes it can happen 30 or 40 times and then there's no sound for about 10 minutes and it just crackles loudly.Pro
