Nokia Lumia 630
8 GB, White, 4.50", Dual SIM, 5 Mpx, 3G
A dual-SIM mobile phone that is almost unbeatable in terms of price/performance ratio. Easy to set up and intuitive operating system.
The fifth star would be given if the WLAN did not "only" include the 2.4 GHz frequency band but also the 5 GHz frequency band, but that would be the icing on the cake.
Unfortunately, the original Nokia comes with a fixed power supply instead of a 230V AC / 12V DC USB adapter and a USB cable. This means that you are always dependent on a power socket and have no cable to connect the phone to a computer for data transfer and charging.

The Lumia 630 was actually only meant as a temporary solution until my 920 comes out of repair, now, a week later, I'm really thinking about whether I should stay with the 630!!!! In my eyes, the device offers unbeatable value for money.
Screen (normal resolution as expected, very good viewing angles)
Operating system (fluid, stable, innovative, just great)
Haptics (great, nothing creaks, solidly made and very resistant - I've already dropped it 5 times O.o)
Reception great
Loudspeakers great
Camera (normal, nothing special, as expected in this price range)
Battery (very good, under intensive use and in WLAN, operating time 2 days, very economical especially in standby mode)
Changeable cover
Dual-Sim (very well solved)
microSD expansion up to 128GB possible
Things you can't really expect in this price range are:
Front camera
Photo flash
NFC
Double tap to wake
LTE
Camera button (actually superfluous as the camera is not in focus on the device)
All in all, the 630 does 90% of the same things I did with the 920. I miss one or two things, but on the whole, I'm IMPRESSED by the device. I would definitely buy it again!

The Lumia in green looks really good. It also looks very smart and well-made when viewed as a whole.
The green cover can be completely removed and replaced with another colour, for example. Behind the cover are the two SIM card slots and the slot for the memory card. Also behind the cover is the battery, which can be easily removed and replaced if necessary.
I don't have to write much about the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, because those who know it know that it is good.
I think the price-performance ratio for this Lumia is optimal and would recommend it especially to every smartphone beginner.

Please forgive me using English, my German is not good enough to write a review that anyone would understand!
This is a great phone. A little smaller than the 925, and therefore easier to hold and use. I have read elsewhere that the screen resolution is not as good as others in this class, but to be honest I have not noticed a problem. It does not have much memory, so make sure you add a micro SD card, I put a 16Gb one in mine. The battery life seems very good so far, certainly better than my HTC 8X. The only drawback I have is that it does not have a forward facing camera when most other phones have one, it makes it awkward to use things like Skype.

After 15 years of Nokia and now 3 years of Samsung, including Ativ S, I am: totally positively surprised by the Nokia 630 with WP 8.1!!! Not only for beginners, but also very good for demanding users! 2 SIM cards, SD micro memory card, replaceable battery (unfortunately all missing from the Nokia 930!!) Price is kind of crazy, in a positive sense. I immediately ordered a second one.
The only negative point is that there is no LED flash.

2 - 3 days of running past sockets...
Everything that makes a smartphone smart is on it or available in the shop.
Memory expandable to the point of no return.
... Simply the best smartphone I've ever had.
No more iPhone, certainly not Samsung or any other Android.
What's more, the part is not built by slave labour!
So how does this price come about?
1. I have only ever been ripped off with overpriced junk?
2. Nokia adds 300.- to every device?
I think firstly. :-(

Very solid and surprisingly fast phone. I have a Nokia 1020 at the same time and can hardly see any differences in performance, even though it is much more expensive (except for the screen and the camera, of course).
Windows Phone 8.1 then does the rest with the new Notification Centre etc. Android and iOS are history for me.
Anyone who has learned to appreciate Windows Phone and needs a dual sim phone will be happy with this.

I use this mobile phone as a second mobile phone (for a stay abroad, hence the dual SIM).
and I really wanted to try out Windows 8.1.
The phone is quick and easy to configure and was ready to use very quickly. It fits well in my large hands (I can operate an iPhone 6plus with one hand...). I don't like the power button on the right side, I would have preferred to have it somewhere else, it's "easy" to use (probably because I'm left-handed and hold it with my left hand).
You can easily scroll through the applications without it "hacking" or "stuttering". SIM cards and memory are easy to insert and configure.
If you leave the phone, you can use it for days, so the battery performance is very good. Let's see if this stays the same with multiple apps and regular use.

Very good mobile phone for a great price. The dual-SIM function is ingeniously solved. Each number can be set individually according to which SIM you want to call with.
I really like the design of the Lumina 630. It feels very good in the hand.
I really like Windows Phone 8.1 so far. I'm amazed at how smoothly it works. The option of storing the programmes on the memory card is also great. With Here Drive+ as a navigation solution, it's also great and free of charge.
The only thing I'm missing now is the camera in the front and a flash in the back. I would have gladly paid another CHF 50 for that. But it's enough for me as a second phone.
I am very satisfied so far! The device is to be recommended.

... Lumia 630 is very nice phone ... Windows Phone system brings a lot of possibility and in my view is much easier to operate than android system ... Only problem is with missing apps, but Windows is catching up and all popular apps are available for Windows Phones as well. Battery last suprisingly long cca 4 days (with occasional calling, wifi connection, ....) nice thing is app with offline maps and to my experience fast GPS tracking ... Overall I am very happy user so far.

The alternative smartphone that can do everything you need. Why spend more! Probably the best price-performance phone on the market. You can buy a new one every year until you've used up your budget on iPhones and the like.

bought to phone in multiple countries and text, and maybe e-mail.
as a phone it works well, voice quality is good.
text messages with the keyboard are easy and written quickly.
e-mail works too.
set-up of most features is simple. useful videos available on nokia/microsoft windows 8 phone help pages.
i don't want apps, so the smaller (than apple & google) store is not a problem.
good battery life without 3G
bottom line: yes i would buy it again, yes i would recommend it to a friend. I know 3 people who use this phone and who are all satisfied with it.
Overall rating = 5 stars because it does everything i wanted it to, and does these things well.
Design = 5 stars because it's simple, and seems to be well made. access to card slots is straightforward.

The Lumia 630 is an excellent entry level phone and I could easily recommend it over the competition.
Unlike the latest Android versions that seem to have issues with installing applications on the SD card, here you can just set the phone up to do this automatically and Windows 8.1 offers a lot of customization options so that the device is set up to everyone's likings and needs.
The phone is extremely responsive in all applications with only the camera app taking a bit longer than normal to load. Web-brwosing is a joy, with no lag, or any other irritations.
Another fine detail that makes this phone superior to others on the same segment, is the nice coating that Nokia applied on the screen and makes it readable outside under direct sunlight.
Moreover the provided navigation software is just TOP and another huge advantage over the competition.
The camera is nothing to write home about, but the images are rather good and I got better than expected results under low light shooting.
The battery life is also excellent and there will be no 'wall plug' anxiety with this phone.
What I didn't like is the lack of a physical camera button, the lack of a front camera and the fact that the device is shipped with a non-detachable USB charger and without any headset.
All in all I would highly recommend the Nokia 630 and I would rate it as a truly excellent value purchase

I use the Lumia 630 as a second phone next to my iPhone 6 Plus. For the price it's really good, the display is quite a bit smaller compared to the 5.5 inch, some fonts in the system are too small and blurred, but that's the exception. I like Windows Phone better than Android, which is mainly due to the faster response of the system. More expensive devices are certainly better in this respect, but if you want to save money on your phone, you certainly won't save in the wrong place. The camera is not the best, the memory is small (but expandable with a memory card), the display is mediocre and LTE, LED flash, gyroscope and front camera are missing. If you can cope with this, you get a well-made device for the money, which you can use as a developer or as a second device for holidays or even as a newcomer. I would like to mention for newcomers that I don't understand why Nokia doesn't separate the charger and the cable so that you can synchronise it at the same time.

Hello together
I am thrilled. I expected less in this price range, but what Nokia has delivered is simply great.
Everything runs smoothly, you can get to grips with it straight away even without a manual, everything, really everything, can be customised, just like Windows 8.
Apps that you don't need can be uninstalled in the simplest way, no unnecessary bells and whistles, and I also find the device very innovative in other ways.
But what surprised me the most was the battery performance. At least for me it easily lasts a week (at home with W-Lan), I don't know why it only lasts 2 days for some people, I assume that has something to do with the frequent use. At least for me, it beats all my previous mobile phones in this respect, easily.
I need the phone mainly to make calls and write text messages, now and then to show friends something on the net while I'm out and about.
The only downside is the camera, which is totally adequate for emergency snapshots.
The cam is not relevant for me anyway.
I can recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cheap, solid mobile phone.

Very good mobile phone, at a crazy price! Not only for beginners! Wonder why the top models from the leading manufacturers don't have 2 SIM cards!
I switched from Samsung Ativ S (unfortunately still WP 8.0 !!!!) to Nokia Lumia 630, can recommend it to everyone.
The only drawback: the camera could have 8 MB and possibly a flash, and no LTE for the professionals.

Good entry-level phone, Windows easier than Android or IOS.
The camera is not at the top level for the price, but I didn't expect it to be.
The battery lasts a long time.
The device is very well made.
I was able to synchronise with my existing Win 8 computer via Outlook.com without any problems.
A micro SD card provides endless space.
If you want a pleasant entry-level device and don't want to fiddle around forever until everything works, I recommend this device.

My first Windows 8.1 phone and I am very satisfied.
It's similarly easy to understand and use as iOS and much better than Android.
But there are simply too few apps. The most important ones are there, of course, but as soon as it gets a little more specialised, it's better to stay away from Windows - there's still a big gap here.
And that brings us back to the problem of chicken and egg.
If you use Windows 8.x on a PC/laptop, data transfer is definitely super easy.
And setting up and transferring data from my Samsung Galaxy was also child's play and quickly done.
The 5 stars are for the product - if you take the app availability into account, it's a maximum of 4 stars.
Design: The back does not look very high-quality, but it is okay.

The Nokia Lumia 630 is a good smartphone in the low price segment. So: price-performance ratio very good.
It is light, the colourful design is appealing to "young" people. Very good: Possibility to expand the memory via mini SD card : Super!!! >> because half of the 8 GB is already occupied by software that has already been installed.
It is also very good that you can use two SIM cards (dual SIM).
In short: the only disadvantage (for me as an Apple user) is the Windows operating system. We had to reset the phone 3 times to factory settings because everything blocked each other (keyword: Microsoft account, passwords, etc.). Many apps are only available for iOS or Android. Frustration !!!
In addition, some features of the Lumia 630 software were already "closed" by Microsoft, i.e. no longer usable, but also not deletable (e.g. family) >> Goodbye storage space.
