I can't agree with the rating of "electronicsexpert" vol...

I can fully confirm the assessment by "electronicsexpert". There are still a few small things I would like to see in the operation, but these will also come with the update to WP8.1 in a few weeks. I previously had an iPhone and then a Google Nexus, but the Lumia 925 is by far the best smartphone I have ever had. It's very easy and intuitive to use, the OS is very power-efficient, the workmanship is high quality, the screen is top-notch. With the same weight, the same size, the same performance and the same usage, the runtime on one battery charge has more than doubled compared to iOS and Android...

+ Display: 4.5", HD, ClearBlack. Customisable colour intensity
    + Elegant design
+ is light, thin and feels good in the hand
+ Camera is top, I dare say that "low-light" photos are even better than those of the 1020.
    +
Here Maps/Here Drive is simply brilliant. Offline Maps and My Commute are great features and the whole thing is free!
+ Nokia Apps like Storyteller and Nokia Camera/Smart Cam
+ Integration with Windows 8.1 (SkyDrive, Xbox Music etc.)
    + Nokia Glance
    (+ Integration with Office 365)

+/- I really like Windows Phone 8. In my opinion much more intuitive and user-oriented than iOS (I don't know Android very well, so no comparison).

    - Low number of apps (Although this is generally a problem with Windows Phone 8. But Nokia already offers much more than other WP8 hardware manufacturers like Samsung or HTC)
    - Headphone jack fragile: I had to send my device in. The jack was worn out after 3 months of "normal use".
    - Only 16 GB memory - not expandable
    - Here Maps satellite view has potential for improvement

Switched from Galaxy Nexus to Lumia 925 3 weeks ago.

Hardware-wise, the device is absolutely top-notch:
+ Fits well in the hand, feels valuable
+ Display is awesome, brightness, sharpness, haptics
    + Camera takes good
    pictures, even in the dark.
+ Battery usually lasts 1.5 days (surfing, Whats app, mail, etc.) (I only use 3G because my subscription is limited to 1Mbit/s, so maybe that makes a difference)

Software wise I am more or less satisfied:
+ Synchronisation with Google (calendar, contacts, mail) works fine.
    + synchronisation with Windows PC
    + runs very smoothly

    - Calendar could be improved (week view is missing, in month view you can't see on which days you have an appointment...)
    - Nokia Maps still has a lot of potential (compared to Google Maps), especially with the satellite images.

    @haemmerli
Once again a "review" that is not a review! The device takes better photos, is a lot lighter/thinner, has a better display and just looks better.
I had the 920 and was very happy with it. But now I own a 925
and can only say it was the best purchase and I am 100% happy. It's not as if they didn't tell you that it only has 16 GB. Talking about memory expansion. The hardware/design didn't allow for an SD slot. You can find articles about this on the net.

Now it's up to everyone to decide whether they want a lighter, thinner, more beautiful phone and do without memory or opt for the cheaper 920. What is important are simply alternatives and for everyone "his" suitable product.
In addition, with the "lack of memory" you will often synchronise and organise your photos/movies to free up space. This has the advantage of not getting lost in chaos.

Absolutely lovely phone. I don't understand why more people aren't using Windows Phone - particularly after the 8.1 update.

And this handset is one of the best out there. Great camera, brilliant screen, a good weight and
    a fantastic operating system.

The only slight downside is that the second speaker is on the back of the handset, whereas on other phones this is sometimes at the bottom of the handset.

I cannot recommend this phone highly enough, particularly given the price difference to its main competitors, the iPhone, the HTC One or the Samsung Galaxy.

    +Processing

    +Camera and flash
+Battery (lasts 2 days with my use)

    No weaknesses so far.
I am absolutely thrilled with Windows Phone. Also perfect in combination with
    other Windows 8 devices.
I also use an inductive charging cover from Nokia, which I can also recommend. Charging takes slightly longer and is comfortable. (And no, I don't own any shares in Microsoft or Nokia ;-))

The Lumia 925 offers the great camera of the 920 combined with a slimmer and lighter housing, similar to the Samsung ATIV S. The OS runs super fast and the additional Nokia Photo Apps like SmartCam, Refocus and others make the camera even more versatile. All in all, a real eye-catcher and highly recommended!

The Nokia 925 is notable for its limited memory (16 GB, not expandable). And the price is high.

On the other hand, the device scores with its display (4.5 inches, HD resolution), camera (8.7 megapixels) and new software

Another plus: the smartphone is slim (8.5 mm thin) and light (139 grams).

I need the 925 for business (=emails, calendar, phone calls) - and in all these areas it is far superior to my predecessor (Iphone 4s), especially in terms of voice quality - it's like night and day.

    The known disadvantages
(few apps, little storage space) are not relevant for me.

After all, the design and especially the workmanship are top notch.

Conclusion: I can only recommend it to anyone who uses a mobile phone for its original purpose (telephoning, e-mails,...).

I switched from the iPhone 5 to the new Lumia 925. I am absolutely thrilled with the device. Unfortunately, there aren't as many apps for Windows as there are from Apple, for example. The battery could be a bit stronger and the memory is unfortunately not expandable. Otherwise, it feels very good in the hand and I can recommend it to everyone. The price-performance ratio is right.

Am now back with Wind after a few years....

I am now back on Windows Phone after a few years and have not regretted it yet. I've had enough of advertising and crashes with Android phones. I first wanted the Lumia 920, but then decided on the 925 for various reasons.

    +Absolutely
    top workmanship
    +Weight and handling
    +Camera, absolutely top
    +Amoled display
+very smooth and easy to use
+All apps I need are available and run smoothly
    +Outlook/calendar/contacts sync works 100%.

+- internal memory 16 GB, but I don't need more than that
+- QI charging function, but that's what the charging cover is for
    - Battery not changeable

I can only recommend this phone and hope that more users will switch to Windows Phone...

    Screen quality, phone quality and...

Screen, phone and camera quality is impeccable, top range. On the other hand, reliability is at a minimum, whether it is the device itself or just the Windows Phone operating system.
    1. Headphone out of order after 2 months,
under warranty replaced with an inferior model by Digitec's subcontracting company.
    2. Often with total lock up with setting symbol on the screen, Reset done by pressing 2 buttons as advised in internet exchanges. Windows starts up and the phone is operational again.
    3. At 5 months, the blocking is total and looping after the Reset. Nothing to do. Still under warranty, the device will be sent back to Digitec.
This product should be avoided and if you have bought it, keep the box carefully for possible return because Digitec requires the return in the original packaging to make the warranty work. If you have purchased a product, please keep the box for future returns, as Digitec requires that the product be returned in the original packaging in order to make the warranty claim work.
Thank you in advance to Digitec for advising us on a "Packaging Archiving" solution.

I had Samsung Galaxy S3 before, I am very satisfied but many functions are implemented differently or are even missing. You have to install a lot yourself and it is not pre-installed, but the Windows 8 operating system is still a lot of fun if you learn to master it over time :) (PS: I think it's very good that you get Office 365 for free)

The device itself suits me very well. Nice design, Windows runs smoothly, and it has enough apps for me (tip: RapDialer, free: you have the same options for dialling/searching for contacts as on an Android device).

    But
unfortunately the device has extreme fluctuations in reception. As soon as the network strength drops just a little (from 5 to 4 bars), the device suddenly has no reception. If the reception is really bad in one area (1-2 bars, checked in parallel on another mobile phone, also Swisscom), no reception is possible with Nokia.

Oh yes, and this is not an isolated case: I now have my third device (on Swisscom's goodwill)...

Those who have a Lumia 920 can save themselves the purchase - it's the same phone, just packaged differently.
The camera is supposed to have been improved? Nonsense - the technical data is identical! But even stupid farmers
    buy mobile phones.
Too bad Nokia, after the new start with the Lumia series, one would have expected more.

But all in all, it's certainly a good smartphone.

It's a Lumia 920, just slightly slimmed down.
Camera slightly improved (actually unnecessary - the 920 already set the standard in the smartphone sector).
Same processor (dual-core; advantage, much more power-saving than
    quad-core and completely sufficient).
But anyone who switches from the 920 to the 925 is probably one of the same nuts who buys a new iPhone every year.

On the whole, however, it is certainly a very good smartphone, which can certainly be recommended.

As a weirdo, I was thinking of upgrading to the 925.
But it should really be called 915:

    - Only 16GB instead of 32GB (and without SD expansion!).

    These points keep me from
    buying it.

I am very disappointed with this phone. It is light and feels good in the hand. The camera is also good, but it has too few settings for me. I had Samsung before and am used to more/better functions.
    The battery runs out
very quickly, even though I don't use it during the day, don't go on the internet with it and the WLAN is switched off.
It was a Nokia again after years, but for the last time. It definitely can't compete with Samsung or IPhone.
