The Olympus ED 14-150mm appealed to me because of its ideal focal length range for travel photography. I simply don't want to lug around 10 or more kilos of DSLR equipment. I was aware that this multi-range lens is hardly usable at open and fully closed apertures. On the other hand, it takes very good pictures at f/8 across the entire zoom range. In general, the lens is a lot of fun and worth recommending.

Was on holiday for 2 weeks and have had the camera with this lens for about 1 month. I switched from Nikon with much bigger and heavier components. After initial scepticism, I have to say that I am extremely satisfied with the image quality - also with the focal length range! I've taken really nice, sharp pictures with great colours, something the Nikon never managed. So I'm totally happy with the lens! I'm not sure if I want to buy any additional lenses...
Of course there are faster lenses with fixed focal lengths with even better properties - but I still give it 5 stars.

As always with this kind of equipment, long focal lengths are not very good. There is easily a kind of haze on the picture. The aperture is a bit small at maximum focal length.

Lens came in a kit. Never thought it would be so blurry, disappointing and so never used it. Apparently the large focal length range was too much of a challenge. Fortunately, this is an exception with Olympus, because otherwise there is almost only top quality.

Even though I have only been using the lens for about a week, it has met my expectations. I will continue to test it and adjust my review if necessary.
