I already had the previous model, which accompanied me for many years without any problems. This new model is in the functions even more mature, qualitechnisch in function and image even more appealing.
This camera verinhaltlicht through the various modes really all situations for sports and leisure.
It makes huge fun snapshots, videos, actions, situations and impressions in the picture to "document", whether with people, animals, landscape and whether on land or water - especially since I like snorkeling and this camera is simply ideal in handling for this "field of application".
My new companion is and remains this camera - because the design is also an "eye-catcher". Everything fits for me -

I bought the camera as an outdoor camera for mountain biking. And at best as a second camera for diving. There I have been using the OMD-E M10 for years with top results. The Tough TG-6 meets all expectations in terms of workmanship and thus absolutely lives up to the Olympus quality. There is absolutely nothing to complain about, both in terms of operation and possibilities. There are some drawbacks in the image quality. In good light, the pictures are quite ok. In moderate light, however, there is a bit of noise. However, this is true for all cameras with this chip size. Compared to good cell phone cameras, it usually takes better pictures due to the optics. However, there are also situations where my cell phone takes better pictures. So if you're outdoors and can't handle the touchscreen on your phone (wet, cold fingers, gloves), you should take a look at the little Olympus. Also people who want to take their first pictures under water. Or mountaineers who sometimes come into contact with rocks. Or people who work in construction. For this, the camera is top.

Compared to the TG-4, it has some new features, but without changing everything that has been tried and tested. All previous accessories fit as well.
Even if you don't use it underwater, I appreciate it as a robust, handy camera for beach and mountains. The microscope mode is still ingenious.
Works with any user who can hold it straight. Unfortunately, that's not a given either.

The Tough is robust and waterproof up to 15m. It is therefore suitable for snorkellers and novice divers. However, you should think about an underwater lamp, as the flash is so close to the lens that reflections of floating particles occur even in clear water.
The camera has some useful subject programs and can be set quite far "by hand", but here the Tough relies less on the usual SCN programs. Especially those who have already photographed with somewhat larger cameras would occasionally wish that functions such as white balance were placed on a head. So you have to click through the menus until you find what you are looking for. And most of what you are looking for can already be found somewhere.
Certain functions - especially in the macro area - are absolutely top-notch, many things are very well solved and thanks to the accessories, the camera can be expanded into a "real" diving camera. Out of the water, the camera is comparable to many compact cameras, but no better or worse.

Practical camera, I use it with several accessories, the + being its waterproofness.
It is nevertheless a little heavy, no protection for "lens" but sold in accessory

Fulfils my expectations so far, pictures are tiptop and very good quality for an outdoor camera....

Bought for snorkelling holiday in Asia in spring - all cancelled. Then in autumn we went to the Mediterranean Sea all Inc.good for pool photos. But you have to find the right mode. if you just click the shutter, the phone is better.(water under water, the phone dies).
If you want a lens cover, it costs extra. And not cheap.
The menus are complex, you have to get to grips with them, just "if I need it, I'll find it or it'll turn itself on" is not the way to go. The operation is fiddly. Not that I don't like to fiddle, but I'd rather not fiddle with the camera and especially not find the3 submenu in the 4th menu tree...

We need the camera on the construction site to take pictures for the homepage and it's great for that.

The camera is great for documenting hiking and city tours or swimming trips. Thanks to the GPS tracking function, you can precisely document the hiking route and the altitude difference and add position data to the photos. Macro photography is more for ambitious photographers, as it requires a bit of patience. I don't know how to take underwater photos with it, but the camera is suitable for taking photos in the water. Since you can save pictures in RAW format, you can also edit them wonderfully in Lightroom etc.. However, RAW pictures cannot be loaded onto the mobile phone. Therefore, you always have to shoot with RAW+JPEG, which requires a somewhat larger memory card. Due to the small sensor, it is hardly possible to create background blur.

I bought this camera not quite two two years ago. Actually, I am very satisfied with it. Except for one thing: although I have only used it a little (really little), it became apparent last year that the battery does not last very long. In the meantime, I can hardly film for 5 minutes.
Since the warranty on the battery is only 1 year, I now have to replace it at my own expense.

A great camera with many functions. I will have the opportunity to test it in (river) water in the near future. One impressive feature is the possibility to get as close as 1 cm to the object (e.g. a flower) for macro shots. I am very satisfied with the pictures I have taken so far. Transferring the pictures to the mobile phone also works wonderfully with the app.
Basically fine, everything is just a bit small. I have to get used to it first. But otherwise good.

A very good camera for macro photography in this price range! The microscope mode is excellent for close-ups of plants and insects. I am very satisfied with the image quality, in extreme close-ups thanks to focus stacking still good depth of field. My new companion on all nature walks, easy to carry and insensitive to rain, dust, etc. The GPS tracking makes it easy to locate the observations afterwards. The only downside is the low zoom (4x), which makes it a bit difficult to get close enough to birds or other large animals to take a good picture.

Good compact and solid device. The wifi and gps is great.
Great camera, bought for diving
The camera is light, compact, has various new features (e.g. adjust brightness without entering the menu). Great sharp pictures. I bought the camera together with the underwater housing and am very happy with it.

Device resistant to almost anything
This camera is particularly suitable for seaside holidays. The underwater shots are good and so is the quality in sufficient light. A very robust camera. In difficult light conditions (big differences between light and dark) the camera has trouble and blurs the bright sides. So you should think about what you need this camera for.

I bought this camera to replace my TG-4. It's a good upgrade, no particular problems except for the occasional fogging of the display.

A present for my granddaughter, who is very enthusiastic, takes outstanding pictures with it and is very pleased with the features.
I would also like to try it out after seeing her pictures.

The camera can do many things, e.g. fall to the ground from 2 metres or dive down to a depth of 15 metres. But the image quality falls somewhat by the wayside. It's certainly good enough for technical shots and tough outdoor use. Nevertheless, I can recommend the camera. It is extremely robust, has an optical zoom and many possible uses. It is strong in the macro range.

You can really use the camera in any weather. I bought it as a second camera for hiking. The other one I have is much too heavy for that. You can also use the Olympus TG-6 in the rain, which is very practical. The camera takes good pictures that you could also print out as A2.
