Super headset, for people who don't like sidetone
Razer Blackshark V2 (2023) - Headset Rating
The Razer Blackshark V2 headset from 2023 offers impressive sound quality designed specifically for gamers. The sound reproduction is really great and allows you to easily spot and locate your opponents in games like Hunt: Showdown, where precise sound is crucial.
The audio performance of this headset is undoubtedly one of the main reasons why so many gamers love it. The deep bass is powerful, the mids are well defined, and the highs are clear and detailed. This contributes greatly to your immersion and immersive gaming experience.
Another positive aspect of the Razer Blackshark V2 is its robust design. The headset feels solid and is designed for long-term use. The comfortable ear cushions and adjustable headband allow you to play for hours without your ears getting tired.
However, there is one small downer: the sidetone of the headset is not as convincing in quality as the rest of the sound. It's a shame that this function doesn't offer the same sound quality as the headset's microphone. The sidetone is used to hear your own voice as you speak, which can be particularly handy for controlling the volume of your voice in-game. However, the inferior sound quality may be disappointing for some users.
Nevertheless, it should be emphasised that many users get used to and accept the sidetone over time. Nevertheless, it remains a drawback, as one might expect consistently excellent sound quality from a product in this price range.
For example, it bothered me extremely at the beginning, but I have become accustomed to it in the meantime.

Unfortunately, the headset fell apart after only 4 months of use. So I now have to have it repaired under warranty. I expected a lot more from a brand like Razer in terms of quality and was unfortunately very disappointed...

Super price-performance ratio
Had Hyper X headset for years, it was time for a new one. I'm very happy with the Razer. It's just as comfortable and you can even customise the EQ for individual games with the app.

Best wireless gaming headset
By far the best gaming headset I've had in recent years. The quality of the microphone and audio is excellent. It is also extremely light and comfortable. What's more, it's all wireless, which makes the whole thing even more impressive for me.

Insert the USB stick and enjoy the fully automatic installation of the software.
Despite the sometimes critical reports regarding sounds, I am positively surprised.
I recommend this headset to every recreational gamer, it also works without problems with XBOX X/S, just plug the dongle into the USB port and you're done.

One bracket holder broken within <6 months in each case
after i bought the headset in march 24, it was less than 6 months before the plastic bracket on the left side broke, but i received a warranty claim and got a new headset. now almost 6 months later, the right plastic bracket on the new headset is broken. the headset was in normal use almost every day and was never dropped or bumped in any way. the quality of the headset is simply cheap, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants to use it every day.

It makes little sense to evaluate the technical properties of a product that disintegrates after a very short time. The plastic that Razer used to connect the headphones to the headband must have a material defect because it suddenly just crumbles. The first headset was replaced under warranty. Now this one has also crumbled.
Defective after less than a year
After less than a year, the right auricle broke off. I found loads of reports that had the same problem (some after just 2 months). The headset was always handled with care. In my opinion, you should keep your hands off the product, but everyone should decide for themselves.

Highly recommended, with a few points to bear in mind:
The Synapse software for setting up the headset does not always detect the headset (sometimes you have to restart the PC or use other "tricks")
If you press the mute button and then walk around the flat and then return to your workstation, the microphone remains switched off regardless of whether you press the mute button again. (the only fix is to switch the headset off and on)Pro

The sound was good with synapse. It was ok without. However, after installing the software I had lags in Windows. I sent it back and bought the SteelSeries arctic Nova pro X.

Defect despite exchange
I received the headset with a defective microphone, tried all possible solutions, finally replaced it, but the result: the microphone still doesn't work and now the Bluetooth function no longer works either. My tip? Don't listen to YouTube recommendations or online reviews, ask your mates what they use. Never again Razer, money wasted.

Massively disappointed
After almost 7 months, one earpiece broke off.
I may have dropped the headset once from table height (80cm) onto the floor. Otherwise I had it on my head or it was hanging on the holder provided on the table.
This was my second headset from Razer and again I was massively disappointed. They can do keyboards and mice, but keep your hands off the headsets...
The reason for the one star is that even if everything else was perfect, I wouldn't be able to do anything with the product...Pro

Top headset, but...
... as soon as you lose the wireless connection, the settings are reset. So a quick trip to the kitchen with the headphones is not an option. That's annoying!
But otherwise I'm delighted! I've tested rather high-priced headsets over the last 10 years. And none of them have had such good sound quality (Escape from Tarkov) or a really good volume when you're just listening to music. The Razer app is simply a must.

Top headset
The headset completely fulfils my expectations. I've only had it for 1 month, but I can already report on it. The battery feels like it lasts forever, I charged it once at the beginning but have already used it for over 50 hours. The quality is great, feels good and feels great on the head. The volume is sufficient, but not very loud. The sound is clearly designed for gaming, listening to music is not its strong point, the bass is almost completely absent. On the other hand, the sound is extremely clear and you can hear every little thing when gaming. All in all, a price-performance recommendation.
