RØDE Sm6
RØDE Sm6
According to the description, the product is compatible with the Rode Procaster microphone. However, this is only partially correct, as the Rode Procaster microphone is "overhead" (in contrast to most large-diaphragm microphones, which are "overhead" from the side). This means that the pop shield is of no use because it cannot be extended far enough upwards. Furthermore, with the Procaster, the stand has to be tilted in most cases (in order to put the microphone at an angle) and then releases a rather violent torque on the stand, which most microphone stands are not likely to be able to cope with. I have been able to alleviate both problems with an aluminium extension (see photo). However, the quality of the holder is excellent, it is made of sturdy metal.
One was included in the Mik set, but you can't mount a pop shield. You have to buy one separately.
The 2 old spiders already had slack rubbers. I then replaced both of them in a different way for 8 CHF.

Worth every centime! Use spider with PSA1 - dream Team.
Only the pop shield could be a little more flexible...you can't lock it in ANY position.

The microphone is securely attached and can withstand even the most demanding studio projects. Easily adjustable, whether mounted hanging or standing. Highly recommended.

Compatible with RODE NT1 USB microphones! The anti-pop is great, my sound quality is better. I recommend it.
Had to replace the pop shield on both SM6s I bought with another make because the arm is too short with RODE's own Procaster Mics. A bit of a shame, given the price.
