Ingenious :)
Retired my G402 because I wanted more side buttons.
Workmanship, operation, software, cable, mouse wheel, gliding properties, sensor....
Everything is simply perfect.
One comment:
If you use the mouse with the fingertip grip (i.e. only touch the mouse with your fingertips and the heel of your hand rests on the mouse pad), it is recommended to replace the middle row of buttons with the cover without buttons. Otherwise you will be constantly pressing buttons when moving the mouse.Pro

I have a 124Fr mouse that can't do more than a 12Fr mouse because the software doesn't work.
Mouse is comfortable, buttons offer very great flexibility.
However, the software - SWARM, is one big bug. I can't download the module for the mouse. Roccat support - can't help, tries to send me off with the stupidest ideas.Pro

The interchangeable finger rest makes long RPG sessions comfortable. The interchangeable and programmable side buttons are perfect for MMO as well as shooter. Programming the side buttons is easy and clear.

Edit: I have now got it to work BUT!!!!
there are two drivers.
version 1.93 -> installer does not work!
then an older 1.9202 -> installer does not work!
and then there is the inoficial version 1.3. i say inoficial because the ladies and gentlemen at ROCCAT just took the old drivers offline!

install version 1.3 and reboot. after that you're half way there. only the nyth module doesn't work yet. it's time to download the update. after that the swarm simply crashes. then you have to run the "ROCCAT_firmware_upgrade.exe" in the ROCCAT folder on C: and then follow the messages on the screen. I.e. unplug the mouse and plug it back in.
at this point the darn software still doesn't work and crashes.
the next step is to reboot and LOOK AT IT!!!!
the driver hasn't worked for months. support is nil. the driver is made up of two parts. on the one hand you can download a new one and it doesn't work straight away. on the other hand you can find an outdated driver (not on the official site) which works but you have to update the graphical interface which doesn't work straight away and you're as good as before. the whole thing just doesn't work.
under quality i understand five stars for hardware but software is clearly junk. and that for over 100 francs. ...Almost would have been good.
Coming from the G600, I can't use the mouse like this. The side buttons go far too easily. It is not possible to lift the mouse without accidentally pressing a button, which also has to do with the shape of the mouse - too flat. The weight is at the upper limit. The special button in the middle is almost impossible to reach without letting go of the mouse. The side buttons don't have a profile like the G600 or Lioncast. I decided to buy a different model because the G600 is no longer available. The left and right mouse buttons were the main problem - the springs wore out too quickly. The surface is waxy and rather too slippery. The laser works very well. The software is functional and good, but it constantly synchronises with Onedrive even if you haven't changed anything.

Super gaming mouse
The best mouse I've owned so far (also had a Mad Catz R.A.T. 7, among others). The different button layouts are very useful. The programme, which you can download from the Roccat homepage, is also pleasant to use. The piece on the outside of the mouse can be changed to make the mouse a little thinner or thicker, which I also think is a nice feature. It's attached with magnets, so it's quick and easy to replace and still doesn't fall off.

Basically super mouse, quality is right. Unfortunately, the sensor gets dirty/dusty quickly and is very difficult to clean in my opinion!

Top gaming mouse! Beats all others
Finally, another mouse that really convinces!
Suitable for simply all games, because you can configure the thumb buttons as you like - and if necessary replace them completely with flat covers for a good grip. The Nyth beats every other mouse, because all the others have either too many or too few buttons for this or that game.
For FPS, you need to have the mouse secure in your hand - I just remove the bottom two rows of buttons.
Unfortunately, the mouse has a kind of anti-slip surface (presumably the aim was to be sweat-repellent?). I solved the problem by coating the replaceable right-hand grip with Plasti-Dip. Now the mouse fits perfectly. The Plasti-Dip probably doesn't last very long, but it can be peeled off again and put on again without leaving any residue.
As a designer and 3D printer owner, I'll just design a better right-hand grip myself soon.... Great function :)
I think the software is great, once it works. After installing it, you first have to restart. Then run the update function several times until the mouse is recognised and installed.
Important functions such as automatic profile switching, macros etc. are available. I also like the acoustic information (for profile, DPI or sensitivity change).
Strangely, what still doesn't work (unlike the competition, Roccat has never done this before...) is the definition of "generic mouse buttons" such as "mouse button 4, 5, 6 etc". Instead, you can only assign Windows functions, macros or hotkeys (any keyboard keys). I find this strange, especially because the thumb keys are numbered - and yet there are no "mouse keys" in the driver. I usually just put keys from the right half of the keyboard or the numeric keypad on them. That doesn't make much sense, but it works fine.Pro

Great for all games.
In the beginning, you still have to use the thumb keys from time to time, but after 2-3 weeks this is no longer a problem.
Butterfly clicking doesn't work very well. (The Minecraft players do this with two fingers on one key to place blocks more quickly).

The Roccat Nyth is an ingenious modular mouse. I use it for various applications and games. The workmanship is very robust and the mouse feels high-quality. The Swarm software is simple to install and easy to use.

For normal applications and gaming very well suited, in extreme applications the slippery surface of the mouse would annoy me.
The mouse is very good in terms of workmanship and quality. The functions of the software supplied are also very extensive and easy to understand.

I had very high hopes for this mouse. The buttons that you can adjust yourself are great. As I have smaller hands, it doesn't really sit well in my hand, it's far too big.
But what's worst is the mouse surface, I don't know how they tested it, but it's so slippery, it's almost disgusting.Pro

Top product for a strong price
I switched from the Logitech G600 to the Nyth and don't regret a single day. For me, the feel of the keys is more pleasant than with the competitor Logitech. I programmed the mouse on my Windows computer for World of Warcraft and used it for 3 months and can now even use it under OSX and World of Warcraft (internal memory in the mouse).

I'm not giving the mouse away anymore
It's my first MMO mouse and I wouldn't give it away. At first I couldn't get used to it (weight, size). But after I forced myself to play with it for a day, I got used to its weight and size.
The weight is a bit high if you also want to play shooters with it. For this, I recommend a second mouse with less weight.Pro

Currently one of the best mice on the market
I've had this mouse since Christmas and it has replaced the Logitech G502 Proteus and a Madcatz MMO TE. I had previously used the Logitech for shooters etc. and the Madcatz primarily for Diablo 3 (whirlbar) because of the side buttons. What bothered me about the Logitech was that it was too narrow for me. And the Nyth is nice and wide for my big hand and fits perfectly in my hand. I use the large buttons on the side. The software is one of the best I've seen so far (compared to Logitech, Madcatz and Microsoft).
The only thing I sometimes have (very, very rarely) is that it hangs up. This is either due to dirt from fibres in the sensor area or a driver problem under Windows 10, although I've never had this happen since the last firmware update.Pro

Very good mouse which fits very well in the hand and offers good and intuitive software.
I have had the mouse for about 3 weeks now and I am absolutely thrilled, which is not easy for me. I've already had so many mice that I can't even list them all. The mouse is very comfortable in the hand and can be adjusted to my needs, whether claw or pan grip, there is a magnetic holder that works very well. It is precise and well-made. Changing the buttons on the left works wonderfully and the software is very good, as usual from Roccat. a great mouse that I can recommend to everyone!

A great mouse.
Wow. Bravo, Roccat! There's almost nothing more to say. The keys are perfect, it fits perfectly in the hand, the design is simple but top-notch, and the lighting is the icing on the cake. There's almost no need to mention that the mouse can be easily configured via the Roccat software and that it fits into the Roccat "universe".
Also great: the profiles created with the software are stored directly on the mouse, so if you have a dual boot with Linux or take the mouse with you, for example, you have the profiles right on-board, software is no longer needed. Speaking of software: yes, even for Linux, Roccat is probably the only manufacturer to offer configuration software.Pro
