Initially: Windows 7 Pro on HDD - duration of restart* until browser open: 7min 30sec.
After: Windows 8 Pro on SSD - duration restart* until browser open: 1min
    * Restart = Shut down system from desktop and start again

    Of
course, Windows 8 also contributes greatly to faster system booting, but this enormous increase in speed amazed me.

I didn't measure the effective data transfer rates (read/write) but the thing is fast, silent, hardly gets warm and works as it should. I first wanted an SSD with a capacity of around 120GB - 250GB, but at 480GB for this price (218 CHF, end of Nov. 2014), I just took a chance and am now very happy with it.

I don't have a slot in the PC case for SSDs and also none of those 3.5 --> 2.5 inch holders, so I just put it in a free HDD slot. But since the PC is stationary and the SSD, unlike the HDD, has no moving parts, this is not a problem.

Installation: Switch off the PC and connect the SSD to the power supply + mainboard with a cable. For maximum performance, of course, connect to a SATA 3 port.
Important: No cables are included. If you are replacing your HDD, it doesn't matter, as you can simply use the existing cables. However, if you want to add this SSD and keep all your HDDs, you'll have to get one. They cost about CHF 5 and look like this: http://i00.i.aliimg.com/img...

Tip: The "SSD Dashboard" from SanDisk gives you a complete overview of the service life, consumption, firmware version etc.

Super SSD, very durable with very good P/L

Not the fastest SSD, but extremely durable. Doesn't mean it's slow, but there are still many that are faster :)
Already installed in various systems and have not yet had any problems, absolutely recommendable and super P/L.

    • There are many faster SSD's, which does not mean that it is slow! :)

    Buy recommendation!

Not one of the fastest or those with a 10-year warranty, but you get a good and solid SSD for comparatively little money. It is immediately recognised by BIOS/Windows and is quickly configured. Firmware is also up to date.
    I
    would install again.
I have another Sandisk in my MediaServer, which also runs great.

    Very good budget SSD

Very good budget SSD with decent price per gigabyte.
I have used it many times and never had any problems.
If you look at the test and see how little a cheap (or very old) SSD and the fastest NVM SSD
    (or very old) SSD
and the fastest NVM SSD in everyday applications, the motto is
the main thing is a reliable and cheap SSD. And the Sandisk is one of them.
