a normal, good and cheap PC game controller (with cable)
So far used without any problems on PC and Switch for Fortnite, FIFA:22 and a bizeli Tomb Raider.
Conclusion: a simple game controller, quite OK in terms of quality - and above all, its connectivity with the PC is much more durable and climate-conscious than with a battery and Bluetooth. It is really banal with a USB plug. Simple, but it works...
So you can leave it lying around for 3 months and its battery won't run out because it doesn't have one. :-) Practical for me as a backup controller, but I can also recommend it as a good "entry-level controller" instead of the more expensive Microsoft X-Box controller.
