TP-Link Archer C2600
TP-Link Archer C2600
WiFi 802.11 AC done right.
This router is easy to setup and configure.
I have 4 apple computers (3 macbook / pros and 1 imac) and 2 cell phones (Moto X gen1 and gen 3) simultaneously working on the wireless 5GHz band.
Since my older 802.11n 5GHz band router was unable to keep up, especially during time machine backups over WiFi, I decided to upgrade to Archer C2600. Now I do not have any more network slowdowns especially when all my wireless devices are simultaneously accessing the network.
Moreover the number of dead-zones and blind-spots have reduced considerably, and I can use my laptop in 5GHz bands all over my apartment. I have 5GHz coverage in places which my old router could not cover. I am guessing this is due to beam-forming technology built into 802.11ac.
Since this is a simultaneous dual band router (running both 2.4GHz and 5GHz), my security cam, printer and older cell phones are also simultaneously connected to my home network.
One drawback of this router is that it only supports channels 36,40,44 and 48 in the 5GHz bands.
Also after uploading a new firmware, I had to reset the router, losing all my settings.
Overall the router is stable and has been operating flawlessly.

Hardware-wise top, but the TP-Link firmware is rather limited. But there is a perfectly functioning OpenWRT image for it, with which the router can do pretty much everything you could want on a router.
Seems like a good system, with some good functionality. Installed, configured, works well.

We have already tested several WLAN routers in this price range. The TP-LINK Archer C2600 beats them all! Very easy to configure, top performance and decent range. Highly recommended.

At the moment I only need the TP link as an access point.
Important: as there is no switch for the access point mode, you have to trick the menu.

Good WLAN router, except for antenna joints, which are very wobbly.
Installation and setup are very easy with just a few clicks and are almost self-explanatory, making it easy for anyone to use. With the mobile phone application, changes and/or modifications can also be made easily and quickly - TOP! The range and speed are very good.
For me: I would buy it again
But before you consider buying one, you should think about whether you need such a high-tech thing at all! Questions such as: How fast is my internet? Do I have devices for which it would be necessary? Isn't a small one enough? - should be clarified in advance.
Negative point:
I personally find the device with 4 antennas a bit too big and could do with a downsizing.

All in all, a very good device. Compared to its predecessor (Horizon Box from UPC), it now covers all rooms very well via WLAN and at high speed.

Solid, inconspicuous router. Runs perfectly so far. The system requirements are Windows, Mac, Unix and Linux, but this only applies to the user interface and not to the print server :-(
