This adapter uses the rtl8188eu driver for Realtek chipsets because the model is version 2. The product description is therefore incorrect and a product is being sold that cannot even be easily distinguished from version 1 from the outside. Only on the back of the adapter can it be seen in very small print. Well, all this is not a problem, because the adapter works with Windows 10 even without a driver CD. However, if you use Linux (Debian) like I do, you first have to find out that you need a completely different driver than the ath9k for Atheros chipsets.
The bad rating doesn't count for Windows users, because it's really good price/performance under Windows.
The bad rating counts for Linux users, because you have to fight your way through several forums until you find the right driver which can be found on github: https://github.com/lwfinger....
After that you have to use the adapter with Wext because otherwise you will have a bad performance loss! Instructions can be found here!

Once you have managed to get the adapter working, it turns out that the Realtek chipset does not even offer the special monitoring features that made the adapter so attractive in version 1 from Atheros.

It is not specified which revision is sold (different chipsets).
-> I cannot use the stick directly as a replacement for the item previously ordered here, as it is not the same chipset.
Lack of proper information about chipset. A year ago, this was a rev v1.10 coming with excellent Atheros AR9271 chipset. It has proper drivers and proper support in Linux kernel (mainline).
Now they sell under the same name rev v3.00 with RTL8188 chipset which is pure crap. Crappy drivers from Realtek, barely working. No proper channel switch in AP mode. Do not buy.
Contra
Price performance OK
I think the Wifi stick is great because you can simply plug it into the linux and you don't need an extra driver for it, of course the same applies to Windows
