In the familiar compact housing, the main components have been completely renewed. This includes a new sensor, which is paired with a newly calculated lens and a new processor to handle larger data volumes.

The new 24 MP APS-C CMOS sensor is the standout feature. It is mounted on a movable base, providing the foundation for a 3-axis image stabilization system, which also enables the new sensor cleaning function, Dust Removal II. These innovations elevate the quality of both images and usability.

Additionally, the Ricoh GR III offers proven features. Notably, the film simulation presets, which allow photographers to use various filters during shooting, provide many creative possibilities. In total, there are 12 film simulation presets available, including Black and White, Monochrome (in various effects), Positive Film, Portrait, Vivid, and Bright, with 2 of them being customizable.

Moreover, more than 12 image options are offered, such as film grain or various contrast settings. The reliable macro mode, now with a minimum focusing distance of 6 mm, as well as digital focal lengths of 35 mm or 50 mm, significantly expand the capabilities of this compact reportage camera. The new Ricoh GR III will also have accessories available, such as an external viewfinder or filter adapter with a lens hood.
