The Sniper Elite series has been able to secure a steadily growing fan base since its premiere in 2005. And the team responsible at Rebellion has some very good news for them: The next part of the series, Sniper Elite 5, is set to be released in the course of next year.
This time, the master marksman will be transported to France, where he will support the resistance at the end of World War II in order to stop the mysterious Operation Kraken. The maps on which you travel are said to be the largest and most realistic in the series' history, and are based on real locations. Mechanically, in addition to the familiar sneak and sniper elements (of course still including the infamous "kill cam"), a new so-called "mobility system" is used. This is supposed to give you even more options to take out your targets. When the going gets tough, you can also try to take out the high-ranking Nazi officers in co-op mode.
