The lens consists of three aspherical elements. The circular aperture of the lens consists of blades. To prevent reflections and maintain contrast and clarity, it is coated with Nano AR (Anti Reflection).

The FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM has a "Direct Drive SSM (Super Sonic Wave Motor)", which quickly and efficiently controls the optimum focal point. Algorithms control the lens elements quickly and precisely.
