Sony HT-A5000

Sony's second largest stand-alone soundbar, the HT-A5000, sounds great and also impresses when streaming. The expansion options are recommended for more deep bass and spatiality.

The Sony HT-A5000 looks inconspicuous, but its sound is among the best in its price class - even without a subwoofer. The equipment with automatic calibration and HDMI input suitable for consoles is excellent, and the operation is pleasantly uncomplicated thanks to the on-screen menu.

A highlight of the Sony HT-A5000 is certainly the ability to pass [email protected] through, which makes it particularly interesting for gaming. The consistently powerful, sometimes almost too bass-heavy sound is twice as much fun. Even with music, the Sony soundbar can keep up well...

Sony's new soundbar series is also convincing on the second try. The HT-A5000 is hardly inferior to the larger model in terms of technology and sound, but is available at a much lower price. So it's a real buy!
