Product details
This TV utilises the revolutionary processor that understands how people see and hear and reproduces content in a truly lifelike way. In fact, this TV can recognise every object on the screen, analyse
its colour and adjust its contrast in real time. This creates even more realistic images. Object-based processing can be used to adjust shading, saturation, brightness, motion vector, bandwidth and much more for images of landscapes or people - this is precision fully defined. With XR HDR Remaster technology, you see exactly what directors wanted to convey in a scene and are transported into the centre of the action. Fast-paced action scenes and sports broadcasts are even more thrilling on the A90K. Fast-moving scenes are never blurred or distorted as XR OLED Motion analyses the movement and inserts additional images to keep the action smooth, bright and clear. On conventional TVs, the brightness remains constant no matter how bright it is in the room. This often results in images that are too bright or too dark. The A90K contains a light sensor that optimises the picture brightness based on the lighting conditions in the room. When a light is switched on, the brightness is increased, and when it is dark, it is reduced. So you can enjoy perfect pictures in any environment. With the A90K, the screen is also the speaker. Two actuators provide imperceptible vibrations, creating acoustics that move with the picture. This creates realistic high frequencies and clear, natural dialogue, while a subwoofer boosts the bass. This combination allows you to experience immersive 2.1-channel sound in your living room. Sony calls this technology Acoustic Surface Audio+.

The Sony A90K is only available in the two smallest sizes for OLED TVs. The correspondingly shrunken pixels produce somewhat less brightness, but otherwise the picture quality is top-notch. The same applies to the sound; here, too, the size-related differences are not a problem, and the A90K is one of the better-sounding TVs...
Good79/100
When buying a new television, many criteria can play a role: Size, picture quality, sound or network functions, for example. However, the price often comes first. The good news is that there are also good TVs for less than 600 euros. We are constantly updating our TV database...

At the heart of the top TV is its Cognitive Processor XR, which optimises images the way the human eye focuses. The sound comes from the front. Here, gently vibrating actuators turn the screen itself into a loudspeaker. Bravia is perfectly matched to the PlayStation 5. With a back panel made of recycled plastic.
Very good100/100
The Sony XR-48A90K pulls out all the stops and delights with invariably responsive, intuitive handling, astonishing sound quality for its size and extremely strong visual performance. We almost find it a shame that the vice flagship is not available in larger screen sizes. If 42 or even 48 inches aren't enough, you'll inevitably have to reach for the more expensive flagship with QD OLED technology...
