If you want to use the headphones with an Xbox One controller, you need the "Xbox One Adapter for Stereo Headsets", otherwise the sound output will not even work. According to qc35's manual, you need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, but this one is a 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable.
