How do I get the microphone to work?
It seems that despite the clear description on this page, "Headphone equipment.
Microphone" and in the manual as a feature "Dictate in Microsoft Outlook, Word and other Office 365 apps" a microphone is described.

However, I have not been able to get the microphone to work in Office or anywhere else.

Good day
The microphone should not be a problem. In most cases, you have to make a setting on the unit to determine which microphone should be used for the corresponding recording. For a Windows PC, you should get further under "Sound settings".
