he headset works with the PS5 both with the PS4 settings and with the (new) firmware upgrade (PS5).

The PS5 doesn't seem to have an optical port anymore, so if it does, it's only compatible to a limited extent.

Send me a PS5 and I'll tell you.

I don't have a PS5, but it will certainly work there. It works fine on the TV. Youtube videos also advertise the application on the PS5.
